You're assuming that Henry could look at the game and tell that a big part of the problem was Gerrard playing a deep role. Whereas I'm sure Henry is a clever man; before buying Liverpool sounds like he had no interest in football, things that look obvious to us may not be for him.
Regarding the Salad we're trying to sign from Balsamic: If he's as radishingly good as people make out (videos of him show a very tricky pacy fella that likes to knock the ball past an opponent and out sprint them to the ball) £12 million in today's market seems pretty darn cheap. (We sold flop Carroll for $15 mill). Sure try and get him for 8... but 12 shouldn't be a deal breaker if he's that good. Lettuce sign him. Think we need wing back and defensive mid more desperately though.

Not hard to see even for an American who doesn't know much about football. Villa average about 30% possession in their games... we average over 50% and prob closer to 60% at home games. Against us in 1st half, those numbers were probably flipped round. Summed up our half really.
