No a signing rumour, but I didn't know where was best to post this.

Was talking to Forshaw there.

Asked him if he was close to fitness. Got a big smile and a 'Yes'.

I said 'That's what you said the last time I spoke to you, couple of months ago'.

Even bigger smile, then 'no, this time I'm REALLY close'. (His emphasis).

But not in time for Millwall, it would seem. :(

Btw, asked him about social media. He confirms that the team are more than aware of what is aimed at them, fairly or otherwise. He wasn't impressed, to put it mildly. Not surprised. So for those who didn't believe they kept up to date - now you know!

We may be up for some extra cash from a Danny Rose transfer rumoured to be Newcastle. Might boost our striker kitty.

Unlike most, I don't think the kitty is the biggest problem - it's the lack of availability of anyone suitable. :(

Doesn't surprise me. All of the 'information' we get comes from clickbait sites selling advertising, or 'journalists' trying to keep themselves in a job. Our club simply does not reveal anything until the signature is on the contract, and has always been like that with Radz. The thing is though, this 'information' is churned umpteen times on social media until people begin to believe it's the truth.

It would not surprise me if it was the scum of the earth (agents, in case anyone is unsure who I mean :) ) putting 'source close to' rumours out there to drum up interest for their clients - whether it's a move, getting them back into the team plans, or simply a pay rise.

I don't believe any of this 'offers' pish. For example, with Southampton, it's prolly Adams' agent trying to get him prominent in the squad (and it's working!), and who knows, get him a pay rise into the bargain. Do we really think Adams considers playing in the Championship with us is a better path to getting into his first team than presently being on the fringes, waiting on the next vacancy caused by an injury? Naive to think he wants away. Prolly the wife's choice anyway. :)

Can't say I'm over excited by Poveda or whatever his name is. Sounds like another one for the future to me. I'm hoping I'm wrong but an inexperienced tiny winger probably won't help us much.

Just really hope he comes and makes an impact.

Celtic and Torino were after him, Bielsa called and spoke to him directly in an attempt to get him to sign for us, his parents are Columbian and his father is supposed to be a big Bielsa fan, yes this is all "reported" so I've no idea how much is true but I am under the impression that he has been brought to compete for a place in the first team. It would be great if we've signed him in time to feature in the U23 game against Wolves tomorrow but I doubt he'd be thrown in that quick. Next U23 game after that is Monday the day before we play Millwall so it will be interesting to see if he features. I noticed in the clips he wears #7 and plays mainly down the right with the odd occassion left so I'd imagine he is going to compete with Costa
