would not surprise me if he kept the stadium and rented it out at 2 million a season.
Only an idiot would buy a football club and not insist the stadium was part of the deal and we’ve already found and had him ;)

That’s another thing when comparing Radz to previous owners, Cellino promised to buy the stadium, he then sold Ross but didn’t invest any of the funds as he needed it to purchase the stadium and we know that never happened

And what difference does that make. Radz owns the stadium now. Fans or club dont

TBF he spent £20 million on players, just though he himself was the manager.

Point I was trying to make is Cellino lied about selling Ross and buying the ground with the funds he received for him. Whilst it is true it makes no immediate difference who owns the ground to the fans, we are now a better propersition for the next buyer. We know the owner was Bates behind shell companies, it just feels "cleaner" having the ground owned by the same person who owns the team and better going forward not having Bates with his fingers in anything

Fair point unsure how relevant the ground would be to a proper owner with actual money like qsi for example. Would probably be cheaper in pl to build a new stadium than to try renovating what we have. Anyway that all feels as far away as at any time in recent years

yes i understand and agree with some of it but orta probably got ben white to leeds so he does get some picks right
Only on loan for a few more months. Anyone would manage a 10% success rate in talent spotting when it’s your full time job with scouts around the world, endless videos and Bielsas brain to pick. By all accounts it was Bielsa who selected White, Orta did the negotiations only

I’m sure I read somewhere Whites agent offered him last year and we said no. Bielsa viewed footage of him and we went for him this season. I’m sure days of scouting are done with, technology has advanced so much. It’s more a case of agents getting players out there to other clubs probably with ready made YouTube clips

True but someone has to study the videos and make decisions. That’s still a form
Of scouting but in a modern way. Did I not read here or was it somewhere else that orta had a scouting network spread worldwide?

Thing that gets me with all these Amazing scouting networks is it’s true that a number of our ‘hits’ were offered to us previously... klich and saiz under monk for example.

it’s also true (of all clubs) that multiple moves are often engineered by agents. If you think of it like a house sale they know if they can shift player x from club a to club b, it frees player y from club c to get his dream move to club a.

easier to ensure there are no hiccups if 1 agent controls all the players.

But what are the chances of each of the clubs being happy to take 1 agents players rather than their first choice player? Slim you’d think... but it happens anyway. Some agents have ‘connections’ with certain clubs.

It’s a rancid industry

Interestingly Milky, I heard a recent interview with big Sam on the subject of agents. He said they were now the most important asset to him as a manager and unable to operate without them. Now, I know the usuals will poo poo what he has to say but he has a hell of a record in getting teams promoted which should be first priority of any Championship coach
