At the pedestrian pace we play, he should fit in nicely.
I really rated him but at 35 and released by his last three clubs I think realistically the writing is on the wall for him.

Weve basically signed two very much attack minded players to play in a very much defensive system with very little possession , but then asked them to play as defensive midfielders

He hardly looked full of enthusiasm in his prime, I carnt see a relegation fight in a team that creates next to nothing changing that

This is exactly it, when we signed them we were playing 4-2-3-1, a system that suits both. Now we're playing a 3-5-2, there's no room for attack minded midfielders as they play more of a holding role.
I'd love us to sign Berbatov, it would be like the Jay Jay signing, mainly cameos, but a joy to watch.
