Like most, I’m a bit gutted about Fleming going out on loan - Oxford will love him.

But no one is talking about Aaron Connolly. I think we have got a quality attacking player here, who will fit perfectly into this team. Part of me is pleased that he’s sneaking under the radar though, I mean, who doesn’t love a good underdog story? I hope he reads the negative posts (more so on other sites) and it fires him up!

At 23 at what stage of his development should he be ? Should he have positional sense , physique fit for purpose ? Anyone coaches know ? I think he’s got very good feet and touch and some pace , I always thought he could make a stand in winger .

Some of them are deflections though, which won’t be good enough for the purists…

Britt Assombalonga’s name has been mentioned in conversations, could be available for loan. Has always done well at Championship level, but he has had injury problems prior to his move to Turkey. I’d like that one to come off.

Cant Elder sign for someone else/talk to other clubs in the last few months of his contract - ie very shortly indeed?

He’s only made 45 appearances in his whole career, this includes cup games too. I think he just needs consistent game time.
