James Scott has been very unlucky with injury, but it seems he also has struggled with dealing with these set backs. Hopefully, he can find another club and start to get back to what was a promising career.

The Adama Traore we signed had 1 goal and 9 asissts in 52 appearances for Hatyaspor. Hardly assists galore. 1 goal and 4 assists in 15 games in Ligue 1 was slightly better I suppose but still nothing groundbreaking.

9 assists (or a goal contribution every 5) is more than decent in Super Lig but it is the Ligue 1 (8 goals 7 assists in 57) record which excites me most.

He's been a 14m player in the past so clearly envisaged to come in as more than just a squad player and sit next to Doc and Elder on the bench, which was my overarching point.

I thought when he scored that hattrick for Hibs that would be the start of something. Obviously found the local Dominoes again!

Harsh. He finally found form then got shin splints. He definitely could’ve looked after himself better when injured but he’s had more serious injuries already than some players have in their entire career.

Was never any consistent form though. He just raised his game in an end of season dead rubber. In Scotland, which is a nowhere near as competitive league than ours even at the best of times.

Really? Only weakness for me is lack of height .....but that hasn't held back Robertson. I see he's just turned 23, needs to kick on now.

He is absolutely miles behind Robbo when he was the same age. We are far better with Greaves at left back, hardly anything comes down the left now and when Fleming plays it is always obvious to me he is targeted. Always caught yards out of position with big gaps over the top.

Yep he's miles behind Robertson. But other than some teams targeting his height (which is why Rosie first selected Greaves there for the first game of his run at LB) he's a decent enough defender and importantly gives us more than Greaves going forward (yes Greaves put in a couple of lovely crosses a while back but that's becoming a distant memory). Like Robertson, Fleming likes to bomb forward and is quite good at it and that's something we've been sorely missing of late imo.

But Robertson had played way more first team football by that age, and he had quite a few problems defensively when he was with us. His positioning was suspect and he struggled against pacy, tricky wingers. I suspect that's why he took quite a while to be a starter for Liverpool.
