Do you think then that if Shota is not successful Acun would have no issues sacking him? If that's the case then I'm happy to be patient, as that's my main concern.

People as successful as acun don't get to where they are by being afraid to make difficult choices. If it goes wrong then he'll have no issues changing things

I quite like the idea of the shota appointment a normal known one here and it's same ideas but with shota coming in you can maybe hope for new ideas and with the type of players he is looking to bring in a new way of playing.

He is also multilingual so that will help with some of the new signings.

That's a fair comment and can't be argued with:emoticon-0148-yes:

Personally speaking,if I was the new owner right at this moment in time,I'd be having a few sleepless nights? It's clear that McCann has them playing and there's a terrific togetherness in the camp at present, infact morale has been pretty good throughout the season so far, including when we were suffering defeat after defeat.

As others have said and this is probably nearer to what's about to happen,Acun has decided months ago to bring his own people and ideas to the Club...

It's his money, his choice but testament to McCann that he's got some people who called him every name under the sun looking to give him a chance...
Exactly, fans have short memories. It must have hurt Grant McCann deeply when some of our fans were chanting 'Your getting sacked in the morning' at Luton away this season. He couldn't help but hear it and had to walk within yards of those chanting for him to be sacked to the players tunnel.

Said it a few times in here the level of hatred towards him was completely ridiculous
Makes you think some must have problems in their personal life and just taking it out on him.

I remember having stand up rows with our own fans in E6 who were screaming abuse at Steve Bruce when he was our manager. .

I'm sure the abuse will start from the usual suspects at the new owners and the new coaching set up as soon as something doesn't go exactly they way they want or think it should

You would think city fans would be more level headed and humble looking at our history
Makes you wonder how much of a fan they really are doesn’t it?
Even now things are getting ridiculous on here. God knows what’s happening on that Twitter ****e.

We know him quite well especially from his player career. But still I am surprised by the decision. He has no success to validate this move.

Be prepared for Şota’s interesting interviews/press conferences. He is really funny with counteresponses.

btw if emre belozoglu was available Acun would have brought him as the new manager.
Anyway, let’s believe in his judgement and see.
Cheers for the info.
Its pleasing to know he has no success to validate this move and was second choice to Emre Belozuglu.
As we say in England, it sounds like a case of "it's not what you know, but who you know"
Keep posting mate.

If we'd gone for Emre people would be complaining he lacks experience, was only caretaker at Fenerbache for his W7 D2 L1, etc. So he'd be on a hiding to nothing too.

Now it’s all over in hindsight the previous regime actually have pulled a rabbit out the hat in terms of building a half decent squad of players for absolutely nowt with absolutely minimal commitment in terms of wages etc going forward.

No chance of us being stuck with any deadwood loading the wage bill.

Always felt this has been largely overlooked but the whole recruitment team have done a great job. Even those who haven't quite made the grade will have no problem getting moves elsewhere

Firstly, most of the faithful wanted change, we have now have it, let's embrace it!

Whether you think the sacking of Grant is fair or not, what we have to realise is that Grant and others were brought in because they suited the Allam's way. Which was little investment and shop in the bargain basement. And for the most part, they did an okay job under those conditions.

However, now we have a different approach, an owner who has ambition. The 2 players being mentioned already, who look likely to be coming in, apart from Regan Slater, who at the price was a no brainer to buy, are 2 strikers, Acun has clearly seen where the most pressing area is to strengthen in the forward areas.

There is going to be change, let's savor it and enjoy the ride.
