Well new owner, new manager , new incoming players , club has a foundation to keep building on and it is exciting to think what could be and fingers crossed we never have to suffer what we as supporters have again.
It just begs the question when people say these players are playing for Grant but have only started showing it once the takeover went through...

Not blown away by the Shota appointment but a lot of this squad need replacing and I doubt Grant was willing to do that, especially considering his recent comments on Magennis' contract situation.

I think questions need to be asked as to why these players can produce 2 stunning performances in a week, after being winless in 5. Is the weight of the Allams off the club that significant? Are they playing for their futures? Find it baffling how good we've been in the last 2 when compared to how bad we've been for probably 80% of the season, why didn't they play for him then? Shota will instantly raise standards of certain players as Grant evidently has favourites so I doubt we'd see a drop off anytime soon...
80%!! Jesus you’re another one who exaggerates to make a point

I quite like the idea of the shota appointment a normal known one here and it's same ideas but with shota coming in you can maybe hope for new ideas and with the type of players he is looking to bring in a new way of playing.

We haven’t been bad I don’t think. I’ve not seen a lot of games the past few years but those I have by and large we haven’t played badly and been competitive even though results have generally been poor.

Stoke is the exception, but over the last dozen games he's had us in playoff form. I accept the takeover might have led to raised performances, but you could equally say the uncertainty before the last 2 won't have helped either.

I think its harsh on McCann given the last couple of months but the decision was made before November when things were bleak.

Even if you stuck with him he'd have the sword of damocles hanging over him 'til the next poor run.

I can see why they've done it but it's a risk.

I don't see it as a risk at all , why we have a clean break away from everything a fresh start it's what the club needed the supporters needed it, and it was not long ago everyone wanted him out to try save us going down.

Some of the supporters have been going for 40-50 years and been through so much even way back hopefully a clean break from everything and everyone will give them many good times hopefully.

Don’t know if I missed it but offhand just noticed Max Clark signed for Rochdale on a free transfer earlier this week.

Incredible to think just a couple of years ago he was being talked about on a national level and attracting interest from the premier league!

I agree it's harsh on McCann, Honeyman being fully fit has helped and the emergence of McLoughlin has helped massively defensively. Begs the question why the latter took so long to breakthrough.

And any system that is so heavily reliant on 1 player (GH) is never sustainable. Hopefully its bright times ahead, but if he's as genuine as he says about wanting success then he won't mess about if Shota doesn't perform to his desired level.

Hard to fathom this one ain't it you think lack of chances or maybe management never had confidence in him, i hope he does an outstanding job there.

I can see the argument for a clean break, but I still think it's a risk.

To be fair Arvaladze was strongly linked with us last November.

you are right, I expressed myself wrongly.
I just meant the deal is approaching.

We know that Acun and Şota are close friends. I am afraid this might be an emotional decision.
When returning from the netherlands Şota had a promising start in his coaching career in Turkey but then no big impact afterwards. no success at all.
At least I can say that he tries to make his team play a positive football on the pitch.
