I just wonder what the new owner, if it happens, would feel about selling one of the best players in KLP just after he takes over. Surely he would feel it would send out the wrong message to fans, cashing in on an asset so early in his tenure?

I can't see it.

It was always known after £8m was rejected in the summer that bids would (and have) rise this Jan window on KLP.

If he's still with us and the sale is going ahead as reported then he's still here because the new owners want him to be.

Same reason McCann couldn't keep Magennis but in the same breath reports fresh terms have been offered to Honeyman.

We've got KLP effectively tied down for another 2 and a half years. There's no way he's going.

Let them bid what they want. Anyone knows he'll be worth more in 2 years time. Why sell now?

Neither have been regulars for Barrow or Morecambe. I noticed we didn’t have a recognised centre back on Sunday so I guess Festus could be coming back for that purpose.

Jones would be well down the pecking order even in our current squad for midfield so not sure the intention there. I believe he has played full back/wing back on occasion so potentially with the lack of options there he could be cover.

They've been recalled cos the loans aren't working out then.

I agree. Also, I'm sure there must have been some discussions between the new owner and Ehab about Magennis, clearly, even though Josh has been a great servant and all-around good guy in the dressing room, at Championship level he just isn't prolific enough. So he probably wasn't going to stay after the season finished anyhow, so they got a bit of money for him and made room for someone hopefully better to come in.

I don't think Ehab would have kept him either.

Exactly this.

I’ve got a bad feeling about this window. The way our luck/organisation/ownership has gone in the recent past, if the sale does go though, it will be February earliest. By which time KLP, honeyman and mcLaughlin will be gone.

someone give me reasons to be cheerful please!
It's sunny out there

Would it?
Same as all clubs we buy and sell players
Don't want to start an argument or anything as today should be a great day, but take for instance selling Bowen and Groshitzski, we replaced them with players that cost a fraction of the price. So yeah we might buy and sell but if the Allams were in charge and we sold KLP for 15 million you really think they'd replace them with someone who cost a few million or a free from the lower leagues or someone for peanuts?

So when acun sells a player we will then buy a new one for twice the price we got for the one we sell

brill I look forward to it

That's clearly not what I said is it... Allam towards the end was a tight ****, that's why are finances are so good now, because he barely spent anything on players. Im not expecting millions to be spent on players by Acun but I at least expect him to replace players that are good enough for this league and not rejects from lower league clubs.

If there’s no fans coming through the turnstiles there’s no money
It’s why league 2 teams stay down there
