I'd be very disappointed if he went now, or agitated for a move now. Give it at least 6 months more, see if we can give him a deal that satisfies him financially, and give him the chance to get to the PL with us next season.

I didn't know he wanted to go but I'd still reject offers under £20m.
He's not exactly destroying the Championship so to think of him playing next month in the PL is IMO a bit far fetched.

12m with add-ons rising to 15/16m and an 18-month loan back to us wouldn't be too bad. I think that'd be best for both parties.

Which is why we should snap their hand off for it, imagine the new regime spending it what they may be able to bring in with that and positions covered.

But we've been told the new regime has plenty of money, we shouldn't need to sell to buy.

If you sell a player you reinvest that's what i am saying they might do unlike the last regime.

And i would trust they used it well.

If we sell KLP it then turns Greaves' head at the prospect of a move, maybe Honeyman starts considering offers as well. It's not as simple as just banking money and reinvesting it.

If it's a sale and loan back situation we won't need to spend it this window.

Nobody suggested it is easy but if they are deciding to sell just say they are thinking about it they may choose to find replacements or already found replacements may buy them and replace any expenditure if KLP decides he does wish to go now, just making sure they are not left with a player who does not want to be here if he does not.

If another Not606 board buys me for a squllion £ and then loans me back here, I’ll be honest I not going to give a **** about you lot.
Towards the end of my loan you’ll definitely see a dip in the quality of my posts as I get ready to move my literary nuggets to somewhere more befitting

    …I move next week

If the person that bought you had targets you had to meet while out on loan in order to get a squad place the following season, I'd be surprised if you dropped off.

Otherwise by your logic no one should ever bother getting someone on loan as they wouldn't care about the club they're going to.

Does it? If he's loaned back then we don't need to replace him, that's what I'm getting at. Means the money we've got for him doesn't need to be instantly reinvested.

No, but the buying club would have to be prepared to loan him back.

Of course, but that's why I qualified with 'IF it's a sale and loan back we wouldn't have to spend it this window'
