We can do that by just sending Smith backIt frees up a loan spot.

He did have a look in and he was below average.Well considering Matt Smith hasn't had a look in that doesn't say much.... we dont need bench warmers...
Sort of.
He played for St Louis Stars and they had a friendly in which Pele played.
As it was a friendly the players could drink the night before and at the reception for Peles team, John and his mate kept pronouncing Pele as Peel.
Mate, sorry but you're about as funny as syphilis

OK...it's no secret I'm not a fan of grant and would not mind if he went.....but if Acun is going to give him a chance then it would show acun is a decent footballing guy...not upsetting things too early.
If slaters playing the anchor role long term we aren’t going upwards are we.We could, but then that would leave us with cover issues in the midfield if injuries start to bite again. Slater is known at the club, he's got potential and he knows the team, he can effectively slot straight into the starting line up if needs be. He's a younger version of Smallwood, not Huddlestone, so he potentially can play that anchoring role long term.
The issues are up front and at the back, plus I really think we'd benefit from having a proper LWB in the team instead of playing KLP there. Thought Williams did well when given the chance, so he should be alright until Coyle is fit again.
If Pesic comes in, that's the forward options bolstered at least.

So for the time being not long term thenThat was said of a certain Ian Ashbee more than once. He's young, will develop and adds depth for the time being. He proved he can offer what Smallwood does in the run in last year.

Thanks know all
He’s known at the club but we are allegedly shopping in a different pond now. So if Terry and cliff go, and we start moving players out whilst bringing new players in. All of a sudden he’s not that much different to anyone else.We could, but then that would leave us with cover issues in the midfield if injuries start to bite again. Magnificent ffsI don't understand the Slater hate. He's was magnificent during the run in after a very slow start to the season l. He's 22, and offers the tenacity and desire of Smallwood with extra mobility and legs. He's also very good on the ball too.
He's only going to get better too, so for a nominal fee you bring him in. There's little downside as we already know he fits in and that he improves us.
Not every signing needs to be a massive name or for a big fee

Patently not that well thought of at Sheffield United if at 22 he has real potential. They've let his contract all but expire ... maybe they dont need the money...?

I think getting this Allahyar would be a game changer! Loads of pace and great finisher. Iranian international with massive potential.
We desperately need a Dept. Of ****housery. We should get Ian Ashbee to run it!He’s a bit of a snidey horrible ****
We could do with that
