It's a weird one, I felt for him a bit. Early on he looked like a player, there was definitely something there.

He'll probably earn MK Dons a fair few quid though

He looked like he was going through the motions to me, nothing inspirational or risky. Like he wasn’t really committed to being here.

Smallwood been brilliant since the formation change, always thought he'd have been good in the 3 with Doc and GH but is what it is.

He's not a defensive midfielder though, well from what we've seen anyway, he's more of a deep-lying playmaker who needs someone next to him who can rattle around. Think he's had a similar problem to TH that he just doesn't fit our midfield and playing either means dropping Doc which ain't happening.
