I hope we can keep Alfie and Dobbo, not too concerned about CBT, looks like he's off anyway, possibly 'is 'eads been turned, judging by his recent performances. I can't remember the last time the January window worked in our favour. If we can send back the loanees who never feature, + Tedic who is poor, and offload Kirk, surely we can get a decent striker at least?

Nuffing is ever straight forward with Charlton <wah>

I cannot see May being sold. A 30+ striker will have no resale value to the buying club.

If these clowns are serious they will buy early in the window but all I can see is they will say their hands have been tied by not being able to release players.

Consequently we'll have the usual last day panic buys.

Last-minute selling of our best players would be very Charlton.

I know we keep say this window will be the defining one but January will really show their intent- W*****s or not W*****s that is the question!
Who keeps saying the January window will be the defining one ?

Whoever it is is barking.

Last January and this summer were the defining windows. They showed perfectly clearly the intent of the SMT.

Anyone who thinks the upcoming windows will be any better needs sectioning.

Revenues are down. We still lose millions every season. The vow of the SMT is to reduce losses.

You do the maths.

Our transfer windows are always declining ones rather than defining ones.

Sorry you misunderstood me - I meant it’s always the next window will be the defining one , yet we’re let down time after time, but surely this January is crunch time - no more excuses they need to do some meaningful business or be shown up as another bunch of time wasters

We keep getting owners who don't know how to run a football club. God knows what will happen when this lot realise that they are only throwing good money after bad.

I reckon Charlie boy and Scott will soon be having meetings on how to flannel the owners when they see we are going nowhere this season.

I think when they don’t buy any top quality players in January, a few more hundred, maybe thousand fans will turn against them and realise how things are going to be.

Personally that’s been clear to me for some time already. The lies started even before the sale of the club was completed.

The only people doing well under this new SMT are the grossly overpaid SMT themselves, who are now being paid tens of thousands of pounds in salaries for delivering abject failure.

I’m not convinced that the very rich ‘owners’ are to blame. I suspect that they have been misled as much as certain fans have.

Once a manager goes public like this things can go downhill rapidly.
It looks like Appleton has seen these clowns for what they are:emoticon-0160-movie
Good on him<applause>
Before you apply for a job you're expected to check out the firm you're applying to, and will be asked questions about it during the interview, to show how keen you are, that's how it works these days. I wonder howmuch Mickey looked into the squad depth when he took the job on? You don't have to delve too deep to see what a shambles we are, so I don't think he should be making excuses. There was a game to be won on SAturday, and IMO his substitutions and tactics cost us a lucky win.

I agree about Saturday. But an out of work football manager who has the chance to sign for a club like Charlton isn’t going to dig too deep or look for too many excuses not to sign. I think he would have concentrated on the fact that he would no longer be out of work and also the size of the salary.
If he ends up getting sacked he’ll get a nice payout as well.
