No idea - I'm not in the know. That one popped up on Facebook and when I went looking, ITTV and CL both had it confirmed. As for Jones I would hope we will get that done shortly but no idea what the hold up is - CL and ITTV both seem to think it's details.
Richard Crawley announced at around 7.30 tonight that is is a done deal unless something untoward happens, and Jones will be at the game tomorrow, pending an official announcement. I begin to think us Charlton fans need to get out more
To think there was an air of optimism about this window. We now have a squad which is bloated with midfielders and CB's, but short of strikers and f/b's. I don't know how Jones is supposed to know his best team. I reckon he'll have to ditch 3=5=2, but what 2 CB's are the best combo ahrt of Ness, Thomas, Gillesphey, Jones and REG? Ness was just getting back to last season's form, but now he's disappeared. In midfield we've got Taylor Camara, Coventry, Bakinson, McG, Payne, Henry and Fraser (out on loan) Campbell, L. Watson, Anderson and Florini. Our wage bill must be a lot more than that of many teams above us.
Recruitment is the problem. The players we are buying are simply not good enough. Presumably they are however, cheap. And that’s what it’s all about. Saving the investors from having to pay the 6/7 million in losses. So short sighted and absolutely rubbish business strategy.
