Ok, so, bit of hypothesising here....

Burnley are about to lose Chris Wood to Newcastle as his release clause has been met/triggered apparently.

What odds on Burnley coming sniffing around Moore as a replacement?
I'd suggest they are not entirely different in either style or standard (think Wood is probably marginally better but not by a lot).

Thoughts?

You’re not the only one with this thought

Jack's have signed Cyrus Christie on loan. We were of course reported to have been interested in him but rumour was he was moving elsewhere permanently.
He's joined them on loan till end of season.

Hopefully we got a better player in Drameh instead.

Rumoured Tommy Doyle, central midfielder coming on loan from Man City

Just read that on Daily Mail football page. 20 years old, 1 Prem appearance, been on loan at Hamburg but little game time hence recall. Played at most England levels from Under 23 down.

Not sure what type of midfielder he is.

The thought of Collins leading the line for the rest of the season fills me with confidence…<yikes>
We wont get a change of style with Collins/

Watters, with someone in midfield to feed him.

Collins is just a poor man's Moore. Would go with one of the 23s before Collins.
Moving Moore on would allow us to evolve. While Moore is here we'll have to play to him rather than him play to us.

I agree with moving on Moore. Given Burnley have just received a large amount of £££££ I would be rinsing them for everything they’re worth.

However, given that the management and administration at this club has constantly proven to be incompetent over the past 10 years, I would put money on us holding onto Moore until the final moments of deadline day giving us no time to reinvest into the squad, whether that be the midfield or up front.

However, that may suit Tan - especially if the hearing at the end of March doesn’t go in his favour.

Bit of an odd one if true.

We could probably afford to let him go, especially as he is probably one of our bigger earners.
Downside is he's probably been one of our more consistent performers this season.

Is Lee Johnson still manager up there? If so he'll know Flinty very well indeed and that personal connection could be enough to swing it.

I think the Lee Johnson factor could be the reason for the report, though strangely it was actually Johnson who sold him to Boro.

Its a marginal one.
If we were mid table I'd say a no brainer.
It would help with a migration to a more passing game.
He has contributed at both ends of the pitch to be fair.

I see that Sam Baldock is leaving Direby after his short term deal finishes.

If Moore goes someone like him could be a useful stop gap signing to end of season perhaps?
Different style, more reliant on pace/movement.

Goal return is generally low I think but someone who could create for others around him??
