Freeman back, hell no I’d rather have a ball of barbed wire inserted where the sun don’t shine than have that mercenary swine back !! <steam>

Absolutely no mercenary. As said he played out of his skin many times, Won matches, always tried. He wanted to move on to test himself at a higher level....and we desperately needed him to move on to give Eze a permenant place in the team....and that worked. We would not have got 20 million for Eze if he had not played a full season and developed himself on the field.

Eze had to move to release Chair too

We cannot afford him, he doesn't want to come back I am sure (though any game time might be good for him).

We could certainly use Freeman if we could get him back. We have nobody with his skill combined with drive in the center of our midfield, and he would take some of the pressure off Chair and Willock.

Loan deal for Henri Lansbury? Central midfielder not getting game time at villa? His contract finishes at end of season so we could be getting a player for short period of time with something to prove. Worked for Hugill and Wells?

He's another who was 'promising' through the years but never fulfilled that promise, we need someone with experience who can run the midfield and they don't grow on trees...

He is or at least was a decent player and from memory is from not far away. Comes across as someone who enjoyed the lifestyle a bit too much and was a bit lucky to get the moves he did. If he’s fit, there are worse shouts for sure.

Again it relies on the parent club not wanting a fee and letting us have him covering virtually none of the wages which they’d only be keen on if he was a bad egg. He’s the sort of player a Derby or Sheff Wed will gladly splurge £20k a week on.

He would literally revolutionise our squad and the way things unfold on the pitch. But how old is he now? 28 or 29?

And I suspect, since he's probably been brought down to earth with how his career has been recently, he's probably learned to be a team player a bit more and make passes more freely.

He's 28, yes.

He was good, but 'revolutionise our squad'?
Not so sure about that.
