You know I don’t think my day at work could have been much worse today, then I come on here and realise it’s just as **** on here 
I didn’t think he was very good when played wide in Koeman’s first season and lost his place to Mane. He only hit form for Koeman when he came in to replace Pelle in the second half the season.
*all this from memory so may be complete bollox

Oh jeez. Really? Sorry Archers this lad oozes class and creativity. He also works his socks off. He loses it on occasions but he is the most talented we have.
In no way is it desperation because I have said it for a while. I would build the team around him.
He's a good player with good skill who can easily beat a man but don't think his link up play is going to cut it enough to build the team around him
Edit -unless we buy players who will be on his wavelength and he improves this aspect

I said at the weekend if Gabbi had played as a loan striker at Watford, none of those goals happen, simple.
For me as a lone striker, Long has offered much more this season, regardless of whether that's the managers fault or not, he's performed better.

He's a decent footballer but some talk like he's the second coming of Sergio Aguero ffs.
Long is long. He ain't ever gonna be prolific but you know what you'll get from him.
He's fully justified in keeping his place as the lone front man if we're sticking to this system.
Yes, really. He might be the most naturally gifted player we have, but you build a team around a player who can control games, and who has a proven ability of bringing others into the game. Not sure I've seen enough evidence yet that he can do either of these things.
And I'm not knocking him; just not convinced yet that he's Yohan Cruyff.
The possibility of complete bollox on this thread......i dont believe it, not for one second . Long was very good when he replaced Pelle, he gets a lot of stick on here, some deserved an some not.

Wuth Boufal yes it's asking a lot for him to carry the team but he's undoubtedly our most talented player and probably our most effective going forward too.
Would love to see a proper number ten alongside him.
