If we sell Gabbiadini in the midst of a relegation battle, rather than FINDING A ****ING SYSTEM THAT SUITS THE PLAYERS then I think I'll have just about had enough.

I don't think he's a world-beater by any account, but this would be such a painfully unnecessary waste of a player with ability.

Couldn't agree more. Nothing typifies our situation right now more than Gabbiadini. A player who has been described as having a wand of a LEFT foot, who showed his potential straight after arrival but who can't get more than 10 minutes off the bench to hold up long balls while we try and hang onto a 1-0 lead. I'd be building our attack around him at the moment.

Left foot.

I've been one of Les Reed's biggest cheerleaders over the past few years and tbh he has deserved much of the praise that has come his way, but since Gareth Rogers left, his decisions and (in)actions have become more and more dubious and it is getting to the point where it feels like the Rupert Lowe years have returned with strange appointments and hiring novice Managers clearly out of their depth.
He still has a chance to turn things around, but it has to happen within the next two weeks with either a new Manager or at least 3 new players or he will have to face most of the fallout of relegation personally, not Pellegrino (who is just sadly not up to it) or even Ralph Kruegar (who is a puppet).

Can't say I'm hugely surprised. Though if he's not up for fighting for his place he's someone who isn't gonna be much use this season.

Please, just sack MP.

If we're not happy with MP2 why would we expect the players on the sidelines to be? No doubt Shane Long thinks MP2 is the best manager since Sir AF. Gabbiadini probably has a different opinion. Can't say i blame him for being unmotivated.

I'd wager other players wouldn't get that leniency.

They're professionals.

They're professionals.

He's human.

To be honest, I'd give any player that leniency under MP2 because I still don't know what we are supposed to be doing under him. How are we supposed to know if any of this is the players or the manager or just the management of the players. With Gabbiadini I'd wager its the latter. He, at some point has voiced his opinion of the way they are being asked to play and been metaphorically sent to Coventry.

Buy a player with notable quality. Have player get jerked around by coach. Have coach go months without a win.

Solution: back coach to the hilt, buy his preferred striker, and ship out player...?

Even worse, said new striker may just be the type of player that Gabbi needs to play with :(

It is a new tactical future football thing - I’m Going to call it “play another striker” :)

Or "in a lineup that insists upon inside forwards/inverted wingers/whatever you want to call them, use the guy who has played most of his career in that role". Yours is definitely more concise.

(Taken from BBC) We could be perfect then:

Paris St-Germain midfielder Lucas Moura, 25, has been linked with Manchester United and says: "Unfortunately, it's the end for me in Paris. I like the English championship." (Express)

only joking. We’re going to beat Spuds and race up the table!
