Yeah but wasn’t the back 3 because we have good CBs and limited attackin options? Take a CB out and add (hopefully) another attacker and we can go back to a 4231 type deal
Exactly, let's rinse them and get a couple of quality attacking players in. We have enough CBs to cover, it's not like VVD has bothered his backside this season for us
This weekends result has a big impact on the window I feel. I know we shouldn't be that reactive but if we win then I think we will sell VVD and not spend much in Jan as we have a decent enough squad to stay up, inflated prices etc. Lose and it will be buying to stave off the threat of relegation. The fact that it is City should mean that the fee is suitably ludicrous. When's the last time they paid anything other than top dollar?
But equally, we are the team involved this time.
Even when I was supportive of Les, I've rarely been convinced that he's opened his eyes to the modern day market, and the sort of fees you can really get out of the big boys.
