He never really had much of a problem with cards. The three reds he had in his final season with us were an aberration...the only three reds he has picked up in the PL before or after.

To the point of it being a problem unfortunately. We're at least one first team def mid too many without European competition. What I've seen of lemina he could be the best midfield player we've had in a very long time. Against palace he was a force of nature. Hoping to see a lot more of him.

It’s a nice kind of problem for a coach to have though, as it means there are 3 players trying to outdo each other in training. Romeu lost his place because of suspension, and Højbjerg seized his chance with both hands. In an ideal world Romeu should only take his place back again if he shows he is better than Højbjerg on the training pitch. Same for Lemina really, he shouldn’t be allowed to think he has an automatic right to be selected. The competition will bring the best out of all of them.

For this game I would play with the three defensive midfielders togeather sat in front of the CBs providing a screen

Too much, too soon. A greedy agent spotting an opportunity to make a quick buck without worrying about the welfare of his client. Sad but not uncommon
