We can't/won't compete with this level of spending.

We've been smart, all our good work done in the summer getting the 4 loan lads from last season signed as permanent.....

We've got ilias, Seny coming back from afcon, mccullam and field back from injury.... picked up Sanderson on loan but had to let jordi go out on loan to fund it..... I'd guess that the budget was spent in the summer so wouldn't expect any activity now.....

We've had a 3rd bid for Paterson rejected by Swansea ! Apparently still long way short of the 750k asking price. Stop ****ing about hoops and pay the money, why are we still offering way below the asking price if we want him so badly ? Getting a tad pathetic now

 

Its one that doesnt bother me to be honest. Give me willock or chair over him any day of the week.

 

Perhaps we are offering what he is worth to us rather than what Swansea want.

If we don’t get him, or anyone else, fine.

It's more a case of they want 750k for him and our 3 bids haven't been anywhere near that. We're trying to pinch him on the cheap, there's nothing wrong with putting in a cheeky offer but when 3 bids all fall well short of the asking price then I think we're taking the piss. No real point in going back with a 3rd bid if they've already told us what they'll except and then we bid well under it again !

That's fine as long as 1 or both don't get injuries, plus Paterson can play as a striker. There's nothing wrong with having strong options to pick from or off the bench. Blackburn picked up a winger from Aberdeen today also, everyone around us has strengthened and we should be doing the same. What's 750k compared to what we'd get for being promoted ? We're either serious about going up or we're not

If we pay for him...we can do what we like with him. He can be on the bench for the whole season..
