If i were the wolves manager i would have but Warbs seems clued up and may have just guaranteed hes in the match day squad. Dunne has been outstanding this season and sandersons perfect position is that of Dickies. I could see a shuffle coming along to rest one each game as theyve played a lot of football this season.

With the tail end of the season approaching, it seems rotation will certainly help with the fitness of our centre three/four. He’ll have to prove he can do the job first though (and MW doesn’t put people in quickly unless it’s an emergency). Will certainly add to the mix and hopefully not make us any weaker.
I do like to have a settled defence though, so hope it doesn’t upset any balance we might have built now with our ‘big three’.

I'm a bit concerned by the fact that we haven't done any early business in this window. The window shuts pretty soon.

I guess it would be wise to go with loans with a view to permanent, considering we have no guarantee of getting promoted (or finish top six, I might add).

If we get Sanderson, he will play in the cup match, probably resting Dickie
..who has the most cards..and possible Barbet too..with his head injury

No that's bollocks Col he ain't Beckenbauer ffs. Like Beth said he'll play v Peterborough in Cup. No way is Warbs gonna split the main 3 at the back apart from suspensions or injuries. He might rest 1 in a game somewhere or another somewhere else, but I can't see us agreeing to play him a certain amount of games !

Whether hes beckenbauer or not, some managers loaning players out do insist on a playing percentage. I personally cant see it in this situation. I think hes here to give our 3 centre backs a well deserved rest here and there. He is a very good player though.

No , because he won't unless 2 of the other 4 are out. Might get a game in the Cup but that's it I think. Anyway he'll be injured again by the weekend !

Almost everyone responding to the news of Ball leaving on twitter seems to be quite sad/disappointed about it.

I tend to agree with them. This season, he hasn't done much wrong at all when I've seen him. But he still doesn't get much of a chance.

I've send Field and Johansen have bad games, but they seem guaranteed to get matches.

I guess it's about reputation and where you've come from sometimes.

In any case, Ball is definitely a useful player in terms of hounding other teams' midfields.

That's a shame, I don't know why Ball has been frozen out, he was one of our better performing players earlier in the season. I'd probably be playing him over Amos at the moment.

If we are getting someone else in there has to be space made, squad can only have 25 not including U21s. We have a lot of midfielders.

If Ball goes then make it a loan with a recall in it, he's not the most gifted player but if Field got injured then I'd want Ball playing in there infront of the other options.

But only 2 good defensive CDs...Ball and Field.
( I'm sure Sanderson could play there I suppose).

I suspect we have made the decision that we are "strong enough" defensively ..so Ball can go...but not strong enough attacking...so to add variety ( and after a couple of good cameos) Thomas can stay.

Ball will always be applauded by me in the future..like Pugh before him...always tried and gave his best...a very good servant to QPR

I suspect Ball would have found a place in the team had we been playing with a 4-4-2 formation, as a RB. Can't see him as a RWB.

I've seen him play several times as a centre half and was impressed.

Ball lives locally to me. Bright guy, recent degree achieved. Pity to see him go, makes a good effort.

Considering how well we've done without him, having Chair back will almost feel like a New signing.
