Great performance tonight. Always a tough ask to bring in another striker but surely there has to be a question whether loaning out Scott/Mayer is a good option. Both are way down the pecking order now and need to play.

I know the Kyle Joseph links were from a naff source but he's the type of player we need to be targeting. His contract is up in the summer too and with Celtic sniffing, Wigan could end up getting next to nothing for him. That £1m they supposedly want will surely fall as the Jan window progresses

Maritimo in Portugal are reported as being interested in two of our youngsters. Callum Jones and David Robson. Can't say I'm surprised. Both are outstanding talents. I'd hate to see us losing the cream from the academy (from Welsh Footie).

Sokratis Papastathopoulos has left Arsenal after agreeing to end his contract six months early.

Manager Mikel Arteta left the defender, 32, out of his Premier League and Europa League squads for this season.

The Greek, whose deal was due to expire at the end of this season, joined in 2018 from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund and made 69 appearances.

Yes, Socrates, himself, is particularly missed
A lovely little thinker but a bugger when he's pissed

Maybe this has been posted already?

Barrow have signed free-agent midfielder Jamie Devitt on an 18-month deal, following his release by Blackpool on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old was on loan at Barrow's League Two rivals Newport County for the opening half of the season, scoring two goals in 11 games.

Devitt, who also lists Hull, Carlisle and Morecambe among his former clubs, has 50 goals in 346 career appearances.

He is Michael Jolley's fifth signing of the January transfer window.

Neal Eardley, Dan Bramall, Tom Davies and Olllie Banks all joined up with the Bluebirds earlier this week.

He's not in the SPL, he's in the Scottish Championship. That must be like playing non league

The Scottish Championship is about the equivalent of the National League. Put it this way, the Scottish version of the EPL Trophy invites teams from the top leagues in Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland. And two of the highest non-promoted National League teams. That tells you all you need to know about the standard of those divisions.
