On JDW

“That’s where we are at the present time, until I hear any more I’m not sure but he has been given permission.”

De Wijs will arrive with Mark Warburton’s R’s on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 season, with the London outfit having the option to make that move permanent in the summer with City receiving a fee from Rangers.

“It’s a loan with a view to a permanent move,” confirmed McCann.

“I’m sure there will be, I don’t think Ehab lets anyone walk out of the door for nothing, so I’m sure there will be, yes.”

De Wijs, regarded as one of the best central defenders in the Championship early into his KCOM Stadium career, has struggled for form and confidence in recent months, though McCann struggled to pinpoint why his form had stuttered.

“It’s hard to say, really,” he said.

“He started the season OK, really, he’s been picking up little niggly injuries with his calf and he seemed to have that problem for a while.

“I think Jacob has taken his chance.

“We brought him in for the Rochdale game for his first game and he’s gone from strength to strength.

“It’s probably the best time for Jordy to seek pastures new, and like I say, Greavsey has been excellent, and we’ve got another excellent one who is challenging him every day in Sean McLoughlin.”

That's your job mate.

You're paid to identify and remedy those things.

that was exactly my reaction too. Grant you’ve done your coaching qualifications, you’re an ex international level footballer it’s your job to identify the gaps. It’s your job to identify the failings in players & improve them.

The guy is a ****ing clueless clown. Next

Jdw wanted out. Terry isn’t going to say that is he.
His head had gone last season.
Good luck to him he did well then form fell off a cliff. Hopefully we get a decent amount for him.
If he'd openly wanted out then he wouldn't have even been in contention for a place.

I can, It's peanuts to QPR who pocketed a shed load from Palace for Ezra.
Doesn't mean they're going to spend it on JDW.... he hasn't played for them yet and we know his failings... we've had good money for players in recent past and have spent little.

Thats what I thought but I looked at transfer market to see his current worth (to them at least) and it showed the previous fee..

That's wrong, we paid £200/300k. That came from both our end and the dutch reporters too.

If you're looking at Transfermarkt don't bother, they value Josh Emmanuel at £200k and Jordy at over £1m. Its okay for finding out when contracts expire, but the transfer stuff its hit and miss
