They don't have any problem in Germany chucking the kids in the deep end, especially Dortmund who always have a few teenagers doing well for them.
Bit like saying pele won the World Cup at 18 everyone should

didn’t realise Scott is only 20 and he is tall so will be very weak for his age. We’ve signed a kid with potential
He’s got that grace at times and glides by people
I think he will come good. Just needs patience and time

I like Scott as a player. I think he’ll be great given the time to develop.

Pele was 17 when he won his first World Cup.

You can't win anything with kids. FACT.

True. Matt Busby always said the same. Even when an 18 year old George Best played 59 games in the season they won the League and the following season destroyed Benfica on their own pitch. All before he reached KLP's age.

£4m-rated Manchester City forward Morgan Rogers has joined Lincoln City on a loan deal until the end of the season. (Various)

In 2012 we paid £2.6 million for Nick Proschwitz .. they may be valued high but experience tells us that doesn't necessarily count for much.

I'm a big fan of him too and hope he gets more game time with Adelakun gone. Always thought he should be starting ahead of Adelakun anyway.

Like others have mentioned, strength and height don't necessarily correlate. Sterling's short but has great upper-body strength. Ronaldo in his early days at Sporting and Utd was a lanky, skinny streak of piss despite being a very talented player and Ferguson probably told him to hit the gym to build some muscle.

Can't quite work Scott out. I thought he was a promising signing, but in reality although he's 6 foot 2 I haven't seen him display a lot of strength yet. Knocked off the ball far too easily. Don't know whether that injury knocked him back, or whether he's playing in the wrong position or simply that doing it for Motherwell in Scotland doesn't equip you to do it in League One. Difficult because in a way he needs a run in the team but hasn't done enough to justify being given one.

Totally agree so far he hasn't done enough, I'm Still hoping because of his age he eventually comes good, Some players you look at them and think that's has good has he will get but with him you know there is more but he has to starting showing it when given the chance. Hopefully he will.

James Scott doesn't seem to have ever got into a rhythm. Didn't help that he's been stop-start with injuries since he joined, but he seems to show flashes of something great and then goes a couple of games without showing anything. Much like Adelakun, who was starting to look more accomplished with game time - be interesting to see if he gets any games back down at Bristol City. He hasn't ever produced anything at Championship level, so the question should be is he the right type for us long-term if that's where we aim to be? I wouldn't be adverse to seeing him come back though, but clearly it's now going to take a few with only 6 months left on his deal.

Siriki Dembele has handed in a transfer request at Peterborough.

Out of our league sadly (at least he will be soon).

The next Dembele looks to be at Colchester: Kwame Poku. Similar type of player, can play anywhere across the front 3, pace and trickery and still only 19.
Would like to see us go in for him.

I agree, like all players and in particular strikers, they need a run of games to really get up to speed and build confidence. Due to injury mainly he just hasn't had that, so if he can get a good run of games I'm sure he will start to score.

He definitely needs a run of games, he's a talented young lad. I'm just not sure he'll get that with us at present. Surely with Haks departure, that's made signing another winger the top priority, and it should have freed up a fair amount of space on the salary cap too. After that, we desperately need another midfielder, Slater's done better than expected but we still need somebody that can deputise for Honeyman. I know we went in repeatedly for Rathbone in the summer and I'd be surprised to see us go back in, but he's the type of player we need. I've seen Herbie's struggling at Barnsley, if they bolster in midfield we might be able to nick him on loan. Dan Crowley would be an excellent addition for us in midfield. Obviously, another striker wouldn't be bad but not sure I can see it.

In terms of outgoings, I think Batty and De Wijs are highly likely to leave. For Batty, we're okay for defensive midfielders in Smallwood & Jones and he's struggling to get much of a look-in. The lad needs games and I'm sure there will be interest in him. De Wijs is similar, he's not even making the squad now, contract's up in the summer like Batty so we may's well shift both early and get them off the salary cap so it gives us a little more wiggle room.

Can't imagine any others being allowed to leave (apart from kids), potentially Samuelson, but that would be entirely dependent on incomings.

Nothing there to disagree with, I would be sorry to see Batty go, but as you say he needs to have more games and he just isn't getting it with us at present.

We certainly need a Honeyman like player as when he doesn't play we really struggle going forward, Rathbone would be a good addition.
