Some absolutely bizarre comments on here about max.
Nice kid and a proper city fan but he’shere for a short term deal and nothing more. I hope it goes well for him but he’s nowhere near as good as elder or Fleming.
Based on what - his performances for us before he left?

Or have you watched his games for Vitesse?

If he's fit by the end of his deal and gets a a few games in it will be a good signing. McCann loves Elder (although I don't share anything like his enthusiasm). He doesn't like Fleming. It all plays out over the rest of the season.

Why do you think he has without seeing him?
Strange
Based upon his performances reported by the sports press, playing for Slutsky... Perhaps the PL link is a little way off but in my experience, most players change. So rating him on his games as a teenager compared to games he played more recently for Vitesse seems odd.
Clearly something has happened in the last 11 months, but it is unlikely to be he's turned into a limited player from a promising one.

It's late in the day...have we signed Messi yet?
We flew him in on a drone, landing at an unnamed motel at the edge of Hull bordering East Yorkshire, this according to someone's mates brothers girlfriends taxi drivers mate in the kebab shop delivery driver, we failed to meet his requirements for an individual 'dolly bird' to keep him dry with an umbrella...

We could have hired Steve McLaren to hold the brolly. For a pittance. Ehab screw-up again.

I think GM likes Elder and Fleming and thinks ATM Elder is better. I for one agree with him.

There wasn’t any press reporting only his agent doing it.
Let’s hope he’s brilliant. He’s a genuine lad.
But if he was born in barnsleh and played for them before being released and going to vitesse then Not playing for a year we’d hardly be doing cartwheels would we? And ehab and darn borough would be getting grief.

I never thought he was anything other than average during his time here, he isn't that quick so I don't think he's suited to being a full back. He's decent enough at winning the ball back and he's equally comfortable in midfield, so maybe that's the appeal. He obviously had a decent spell in Holland, but we want competition not cover. Is he better than Elder or Fleming? No, not really.

But, it'll be interesting to see how he's developed and he might appear tomorrow against Lincoln to give Elder a rest.
