There's a certain Ozzy tune could be played on the house PA on his debut - or adapted to a terrace song if he signs and is a success a success perhaps....?

But he's probably not signing. If he was, we wouldn't have signed Flores.

Agent clearly has contacts with mirror group though 'cos he gets his own article in HDM.
Best no 10 in Europe apparently.

We all know that's our George.

SORRY SHARKY. You know, as well as I do were being used to tout him for a championship move.

You on the payroll or summat?

Flores was signed as back up to Docherty, they're the same type of player, though not one we're crying out for. Crowley would be a back up to Honeyman, which we actually do need.

    So what happens to Slater?

No, wait. I can answer that...

Too much media around Crowley. Its blatantly not happening and we're being used to promote him. I ddare say we'd be interested, but If there's any truth at all, we're his last resort.

    He's going Championship.

Well Slater will stay as he isn't included in the cap. Whilst there's been media around Crowley, it's not a surprise to anyone that he's available. Karanka has been saying all January that he needs to go and today he said he'd removed him from their squad list. Crowley was linked with Coventry, but they went for Matty James instead, which is surprising considering Dan's from Coventry.

Crowley's not a luxury AM type either, I'm pretty sure he can play all 3 midfield positions, I'm sure I've seen him play as a deeper midfield and just progress the ball. He is pretty versatile, a little bit of a combo between Doc and Honeyman, he's a good dribbler like Doc but a better passer. Good from set pieces too. He doesn't have the engine either Doc or Honeyman have though

Re the striker we all know we need one but there's no point spending £200k-500k for him to be no better than what we have. Magennis has got 7 goals so far and we're only at the half way stage, considering he's not a natural goalscorer that's pretty good going, expecting him to get between 12-15. He's been very good so far so whoever comes in needs to be better especially as come the summer (& hopefully promotion), city fans will once again be asking for another goalscorer

I have no issue with either Tom or Josh at this level with back to goal. They're both par for the level. Only problem is we only have 1 option til March now, so we need another more than anywhere else on the pitch.

I still don't see Crowley coming in. I think it's agent hype. Especially as McCann described Flores as a creative type with x factor (paraphrasing). Think we've put our chips down on him as Honeyman cover.

By the end of Jan, that's only 4 weeks away though. We managed fine in the early part of the season when Eaves was missing for a similar timescale. I'm hoping one comes in but I don't want a squad filler who's just a waste of money.

Flores was a cheap signing, let's be frank, he's done well in Ireland but what level that equates too, I'm not sure. I'd assume it's between L2 and NL level. MK Dons and Burton both passed up on signing him in the summer, maybe that was as a fee was involved though.

Back to the forward, I have a feeling Ehab spends £1m+ on one, because it's a sensible gamble. It all but guarantees promotion, and even if we didn't go up we've got 3/4 assets that would leave us for good money in the summer. All the players we're likely to bring in would be u21 anyway (Nisbet, Watters, Jephcott) so we'd be fine for the cap too.

I'm starting to feel this is more the case, the agent is advising him wrongly, he needs to be playing or could lose his place in the team.

Whyte sounds a good signing if he has half the success Harry Wilson had with us he will be a big hit.

The whole KLP saga is nothing but am Ehab s***show!

If I was KLP’s agent and my player was denied a (well-earned) pay rise I wouldn’t advise signing the new contract – let’s not forget that’s why you put a wage increase after a certain number of appearances in there – you set it as a bar/target – if you prove yourself good enough to be selected to start a game on x number of occasions you deserve a wage rise. Ehab thinks he’s being an astute businessman – he thinks he has an ace in his pack that he can use to dominate contract discussions.

What a decent human being would have done was to let him trigger the pay-rise, bring him and the agent into the office, congratulate him, tell him this is just the start – showcase what the club did for Jared Bowen…then offer him a longer term improved contract. KLP would have been more motivated and the team would have benefited as a result.

Instead we have a player who doesn’t now trust the club and why should he!

Every time he comes on as sub I want him to score a hat-trick – I want him to embarrass Ehab – I want more people questioning ‘Why the **** are Hull City not playing KLP’

You mention Bowen, Bowen got on with it and signed every contract and concentrated on his football de elopement here. The best place for him at the time. Same as Fleming etc have done. Only one who didn’t was tymon. Another badly advised by his agent with promises of Liverpool and Man U wasn’t it???

I don't remember Bowen ever being screwed over a contract. Offered improved terms and accepted. KLP has essentially been told sign this or you wont start a game again - if he'd been allowed to trigger his pay rise and offered a new contract I imagine he would have signed it. I agree that he is not yet at the stage of making a leap as Bowen did (Championship at best...at the moment).

Bowen got a major wage rise this week, after his number of appearances triggered a clause in his contract, if only we had something similar for KLP...

I think Ehab is just took advantage of an opportunity to discuss a new contract when a (well earned) bonus was coming up for a player

If KLP had been offered anything like Bowen, we wouldn't be having this conversation, but he's been screwed over instead, so we are.

Middlesbrough have recalled Stephen Walker from MK Dons and could allow the 20-year-old English striker to join another club on loan before the end of January. (Hartlepool Mail)

    Might it be us?

    He might be.
It would be nice to have the chance to see.
I remember when Bowen got his first run of starts, he was like a kid among men. But they stuck with him. He developed quickly. The following season he looked the part.
Now with KLP, he's limited to 20 mins here and there. His development is being stalled. Given the same opportunity as Bowen he might well turn out to be just as good, if not even better. More pace. Better in the air. Undoubted goal scorer.
I agree he should just sign the contract, do his stuff and things will look after themselves. I also think Rehab is been **** again. It's not either / or.
It's not about the money anyway, it's about the further year. I believe both parties have clarified that much.
