Its still crap like.
The thin stripes may be but it had a regal looking granddad style collar infact did we not play in Black and White stripes before that - glad that was jettisoned.
In my post I was meaning the historical connection of Sunderland AFC and proper signal red and white stripes.
But we agree IN BOLD
 
So this so called history only refers to 3 years from 1887 to 1889 it seems

Let's face it, the club was presented with an awful kit they had no say in and that was the best they could come up with. Would have respected it more if they just said Adidas have gone with an experimental use of more stripes. At least it would have been honest.
