I don't think there's a big difference in the ability of the two really , I expect Marshall to play more though

I don't think it's about Marshall having a howler whatever. It's about the fact the Jak deserves his place.

The best keeper deserves the place.

Which is the Jak so far. He's helped us win points that we were not expected to win, and kept us in those games. Marshall hasn't.

<laugh> He's only played one league game, against one of the best sides in the league, with ten men.

And he kept us in the cup in the only other game he's played.

Personally, I think he's the best keeper we've ever signed and he needs to be playing.

Personally, I think that's Tony Norman. By a country mile.

We could go round in circles on this all day long we all have our opinions. I think the fact is, the only way Eldin will get back in the team is if Marshall is injured. MP didn't buy him to be number 2.

I echo this. Marshall is undoubtedly the better keeper and should play. I can't see Phelan dropping him after one game.

Marshall was bought to be the number 1 as he’s regarded as the better keeper by the management – If they were happy with Jak as number 1 they wouldn’t have purchased.
Jak has undoubtedly improved, and quite rightly initially kept Marshall on the bench.
Whilst Jak has proved his agility on saves there’s a time in most games where he fails to deal with a cross, or catch a ball that he prefers to parry - When the inevitable flap from the Jak gifted Arse their first goal, that was the opening for Marshall to start the next game.
Marshall actually caught a cross from a corner last week – when did we last see that?

Obviously there's going to be difference of opinion. I should have said "IMO, Marshall is undoubtedly the better keeper" but considering I posted it, I thought it it was obviously my opinion...

Jak (and I'm probably his biggest critic) hasn't really done enough wrong to be dropped , he has made no more mistakes than what would be considered out the norm - especially considering the pressure he has had under the sticks , Maguire has been a bigger liability and played much less.
On that note Marshall didn't do anything particularly wrong vs Liverpool and on that note shouldn't be dropped.... But the point is Jak should have played against the scouser twats .

I have no idea who is the better goalkeeper as I haven't seen Marshall yet.

But I will on saturday if he gets picked.

Jak didnt make a howler. But Marshall made THREE in one game against Liverpool. Your comments on Jak are as stupid as the ones you made telling us what a brilliant striker Graham was. We all know how that turned out!!!

Obviously you missed the two slow rollers (Lailana and Mane) that Marshall stood flatfooted watching without even making an effort to get across goal, and the Milner penalty where he guessed correctly but dove over the top off because he couldnt get down. THREE howlers. Those are the kind of shots that Jak has been saving all season. Liverpool should have been a 2-1 game with Jak in the net. Try watching the game replay to see for yourself.
