He is 39 and has played 180 minutes against us this season at MKM and has never been troubled.
Not one of our players has ran at him and took him on for pace. We never looked like scoring in either game
He played alongside 35 Curtis Davies for Derby and again yesterday he never broke a sweat I bet he has harder training sessions
Why didn't Grant push KLP or Smith up and instruct them to run him ragged ?

Very good question. I suspect 'fear' may be the answer.

It's always easy to say we should just put someone young against the old defender and run at them. Actually getting into those situations is the difficult part. In both of the games against Jagielka's teams, we've played poorly as a team, clearly lacked confidence and created very little. Whoever you put up front, they need to get the ball in decent positions in order to be running at anyone and that requires a team performance.

You not think the old guard doesn't know how to manage a game?

Experience is what it is.

Deano had no pace but saw things before they happened.

That's what this team lacks.

Yep, several ways to crack a nut. My only real point there was that it isn't as simple as just putting someone young up against someone old and winning.
