Sunderland are now odds-on to sign Jack Rodwell from Manchester City. The Black Cats have emerged as 8/13 favourites, pushing previous frontrunners Everton out to 9/2. See all Sky Bet’s summer transfer odds here.

Sunderland are hoping the arrival of Frank Lampard at Manchester City can push Jack Rodwell towards them.
Manager Gus Poyet has been keen to sign the 23-year-old Rodwell all summer but faces competition from West Brom and Southampton among others.
Rodwell is keen to leave City and play more regularly having played just 10 games last season.
 
You lot seem to have a good relationship with them lot, can see this happening as a loan initially since he's a risk at any price given his injury record. If he puts a decent season in you've got yourself a top player, Fergie was very interested in taking him to United at one point.

If it's a permanent deal, with his injury record I'd be worried paying more than £5m for him until he's proven he's not just another sicknote.

Good luck getting his dimwit **** bucket to move to Sunderland... I seen her in M&S once in town in the food hall 'on her phone' apart from the fact that no known person has ever got a single bar of signal in that concrete bunker, she looked like she'd just finished a shift as a human toilet brush in Belle Vue Greyhound track bogs.

She's thick as **** obviously, that's no secret... there's a fairly decent chance she probably thinks Sunderland is in the Med.
