Yes, we mustn't buy better players than Jack Cork.
Have a long hard look at ourselves and our transfer policies?
And our board's competence and relationship with the players.
I watched both many times and I'm very confident Wanyama is a better player than Cork.React,yes. Over-react, no. Compare Cork to either Wanyama or Schneiderlin last year and he was consistently better than both.
Just watch Wanyama this season and see how often he gets into positions to receive the ball. It will hardly happen! Cork was always available and rarely gave the ball away. Yes, Wanyama is probably better sitting in front of the defence. Yes, Schneiderlin is better getting into threatening positions. But as a single package I would take Cork over either of them especially given Morgan's attitude at the moment.
Other players seem to be fine with the board.
Yes, well, I think we're all learning that even when Krueger makes a statement which sounds definitive, it's still of little worth.
Another atrocious move if true. 3 million?!
Morgan is angry, Taider is unproven. Cork is one of the most consistent and reliable players we've got. Excellent squad player. For 3 million, what's the f**king point?! Absolutely don't need the money, we need the players. Selling Cork and keeping Ramirez, the vast majority of you think we're a top four club!! Wake the f*ck up! This season is a relegation fight season, and we will need the likes of Cork more than most others.
F*ck this ridiculous football club.
Really? You want to have that discussion? Kind of irrelevant. Might as well say "You remember what our defence was like before we signed Lovren?".

And when Morgan buggers off on deadline day? Well have only Wanyama in that position. Smart.
I don't think we're ever going to see Morgan in a Saints shirt again, so I do think there's a case for keeping hold of Cork. But, he's been spectacular for us and obviously he wants to be playing first team football - Palace have found a gem at that price if it all goes ahead.

If this happens, or if Morgan refuses to play or anything like that, then I'll change my mind and I'll be upset about Cork being allowed to go. It would be really stupid of the board to let him go if they aren't confident of Morgan's return. And when Morgan buggers off on deadline day?
Victor made 24 appearances last season(4 as sub) & we got 12 clean sheets conceding 17 goals in total
Jack made 26 appearances last season(7 as sub) & we got 14 clean sheets conceding 38 goals in total
Dejan made 33 appearances last season (2 as sub) & we got 12 clean sheets conceding 36 goals in total
It would be a lot of extra effort to work out combinations etc, but goals conceded is surely the most telling stat

Ha, ha, ha. Wanyama is a poor footballer; his reading of the game is poor, his decision making is poor, his technical ability is poor. He gets in the way of things and is very useful in shielding the CD's and I would have him in my team for that alone. But he is NOT a good footballer.
Pochettino and Koeman disagree. As do most Premier league teams if nobody is going to one up a 3m bid for Cork. Not that I'm interested in this discussion with you because your Cork bias is probably the strangest thing on this forum.Ha, ha, ha. Do they though? I raised this issue when the other players were leaving, and was told by multiple people that it'd be a bit more believable if it wasn't only top players moving to better teams for Champions League football and more money, and if any of our players were actually wanting to leave to an equal or lesser team my claims might have some weight. Well now that's happening.
Cork might just have been unhappy at not being offered a new deal, but as MLiR says he played plenty last season, so if he just wanted a new contract here then surely the right thing to do would be to carry on playing well and earn one.
