Yup, like I support your mate Badger what with his mam being poorly.

I really hope the lass recovers so Badger doesn't have to go through it buddy.

That's the thing though isn't it?

Donating to a charity is not about saving your own bonny lad as it's often too late by then.

It's about saving others from going through the same thing man.

I respect Badger & wish all his family well.

And I will donate again when my wages come through.

So there you go pal.

Billy, you are a true gent! If I ever have the fortune of bumping into you (highly unlikely lol) I would buy you a pint of ale!

Well you never know mate. I like York, good place for a w/e away.

If I do get down will try & arrange a meet up with you & Jorvik Joe. <ok>

....now I'm saying it (tin hat on)

Martin O'neill - is he all that?

Don't get me wrong - he's an upgrade on Mr Bruce but is that good enough? He had his 'new manager bounce' but what have we seen since?

From his time at Villa we can remember various failings

No squad maximisation. The dismal showing at Everton was, arguably, down to picking unfit players. Both Cattermole and Bardsley had to go off and both were doubtful before the game. That's what the squad's for Martin.

No experimentation. The season has largely finished. What better time to have a look at the fringe players? But no, it's the same old names. Cattermole injured? - let's have a look at Meyler. Mig's done fine, what's this bloke Craig Gardner like? We can't score a goal to save our lives - can Ji help us? Who knows?!!

No tactical flexibility. He wants to play on the fast counter-attack but sometimes this doesn't work. What's plan B?

Maybe the close season will let him mould the squad to his own liking. For now I'm a bit underwhelmed.

My take, for what it's worth, is that under MON we've overachieved to get back up the table to where we should have been under Bruce, and now things have evened out a little. Some of the recent results have been poor, as have the performances, but I think MON is in a different league entirely to Bruce as a manager.

He's done marvels with the same players but he'll know we need to improve next season - we can't afford to stand stil.

I've more faith in MON than I ever had in Bruce.
