That is what I was told. The contractor has worked for both clubs for years and is a well established business in Gateshead. I don't know who ordered the signs or allowed them to be brought to the ground but the contractors were left to do the work as instructed by whoever employed them (don't know if it was us or them) as they have worked at the stadium on numerous occasions over the years and were trusted contractors.
This has obviously been an error on somebody's part and think a full investigation will be needed but for me it needs to be done professionally and away from the spotlight. I think that jobs may be lost and reputations tarnished but hope that we do not have a full blown media circus around it. Let KLD sort this as he has taken ultimate responsibility as all good leaders do but he will be privately seething at what has happened and you can guarantee he will not roll over on this one.
If anyone has seen the work they’ve done I can’t imagine them getting any work again from anyone with eyes in their heads

What's your point?

I wasn't brought up in Sunderland. I was brought up in the Durham hills. But my dad was brought up in Sunderland, as was my grandfather, his father, and his father, etc. etc.

If you're implying that the derby means less to people who weren't brought up in within the boundaries of Sunderland you're talking ****e.

I might suggest that the people not going over the top about it are more rational.
I can’t answer Prehab as he’s got me blocked, but it didn’t bother me at all, but then again I don’t act like a 14 year old
with a mag like vendetta against our club.

Even The Times craftily edited KLDs personal statement to remove the bit about him not knowing about the content of the signs.
No surprise that Craig Hoop is being deliberately evasive by referring to "Sunderland Chiefs" rather than name anyone

journalists are ****s

Been in Newcastle this morning, had a trim, seen a few pals.

Not one of them mentioned yesterday. 6 people I seen, 5 of them Mags. It’s not a thing. It just needs dropped and focus on the game and backing the lads.
100%

Haven't had a single text from any of the mags in my life. The Wolves fan I worked with was curious to know what had gone on. It's only really being kept alive by people on Wearside - you know, the real fans who were born in an SR postcode whereas the rest of us are ****s

Aye funnily enough the only pal that messaged me about it is a West Ham lad ha.

Yeah them absolute cock jockeys from WMS picking up a click bait account with no real info or quote from our club and putting it out as fact they are an embarrassment to our great club just wish supporters would ignore them and they might finally crawl back under the rock they came from.

Putting up Newcastle stuff in the bar was supposed to prevent the supporters wrecking the place if they get beat. Rubbish. They have form for wrecking their own stuff. Their own city isnt even off limits in times of torment. A few Newcastle oriented posters would be a doddle for them.

Fortunately there’s no phone boxes on the stadium.

He presumably had all the relevant permissions and passes. The only way security would have known what he had to put up would have been if they'd inspected every individual item, which seems unlikely if he was expected.
Think the permission given was to cover the current signage to avoid damage, not rebrand it the black twats bar
