The work was done by a contractor who works for both us and the scum but is an out and out mag so naively they let them get on with it let’s hope he’s **** himself in the foot and now only works for them
I don't think it is as simple as blaming a rouge contractor. Even the most rabid mag fan wouldn't jeopardise future work to do this.

And if it was a dodgy contractor, who was supervising the works? Or do we just let contractors crack on without checks?

"The club" isn't a single person though is it? There are layers of management within the business. Sounds like someone in the club was trusting of some contractors when they should have been more hands on

True. An individual had to make that decision at some point, though.

It's amazing that someone thought 'our biggest rivals want to cover up our decor. I'll just let them crack on unsupervised, it'll be fine'

This is not the type of person we need working for us, and it's not the first time we've had evidence of a really poor culture at the club off the pitch either.

Me too, its our home why should we take things down to accommodate them.
It should be part of the away day experience for them drinking in their enemies territory surrounded by memorabilia and quotes on the wall.
It wasn’t done to accommodate them it was done to save damage to items and the place

I think this idea just cos they’ve payed £600 a go makes them no different from the rest of them worse in some cases

True you will get arseholes with money but its a lot of money for one match and the ones paying it wouldn't risk the repercussions of bans by doing damage.

Exactly if anything I would've put more memorabilia up, especially our goals from derbies, so they knew exactly where they were.

I think it's been established that this is the firm we always use for work within the stadium. To that end, you can understand if these trusted contractors were left to their own devices

Memorabilia that can be destroyed i understand but not painting over and covering quotes on the wall and stuff behind the bar that is away from anyones reach.

Some will find any excuse to hate the club.

Sure mistakes may have been made but after the last 7 years i personally think that KLD has more credit in the bank than some would give him credit for.

Seriously appears that a few of our fans just want a reason to complain. Time they had a ****ing **** to relieve their pent up frustrations i think
See the post above this one.

Serve them red ale with a nice white head at the bar, that'll **** with them and we still make a profit.

Food options could be underdone pigs in blankets
Red velvet cake
Beetroot sandwhiches on white bread with the crusts cut off
Popcorn served in red and white cardboard boxes :)
I think the beer should be served with no head just the same way they like their journalists <cheers>

I hope this is true - not doubting you btw

I think he’s done it for the craic with working for both clubs my m8 knows him through a 3rd party and it’s the type of thing he’d think was funny so hopefully he pays the price through his pocket now

OTR is in absolute meltdown, I've never seen anything like it. They've only just stopped short of demanding the stadium be burned down. Want the BCB shut permanently, all the staff sacked, KLD to sell up.......
Tomorrow will go one of two ways imo, either the crowd will unite as one, and when SAFC fans unite, nothing can stop us, or it will completely divide the fan base and there'll be songs/protest against 'the board', especially if we go behind. Interesting times, as the Chinese say....
I’m genuinely concerned about our fans’ mindset going into the game tomorrow. A lot are setting out with the intention of making it a poisonous atmosphere for their own club with no focus on the Mags. If that’s the majority view then I can only see more embarrassment, humiliation and damage to the club.

To use a Beale-ism I’d far rather we showed the best version of ourselves - if we’re so worried about how everyone perceived us then let’s make it an amazing atmosphere and show what class supporters we can be.

IF true then you'd suggest this was his 'Ratner' moment.

Already been 1 company who have had to release a statement confirming it wasn't them

From the noise coming out about this, the club expected the removal of SAFC stuff and the erection (fnar) of some neutral banners/posters. They didn't authorise the B&W ****e. People shouldn't lose sight of that

I'm getting a bit tired of all these instances of mag supporters working for us. Are there no SAFC supporters willing to do the gigs?

Absolutely , all this negative energy towards back room people needs to go into positive energy of support for 11 employees on the pitch
