Spurs and now even Arsenal celebrate top 4 like they've won the League. That shows how big they are lol. Chelsea can't even finish in the top 4 and Spurs can finish there but are still in the same boat as us. Man City fans can't believe their luck as they know full well they are not a big club and what happened to them could have happened with 50 other clubs with mansour behind them. Man U are just Man U.

Honestly Rodgers is going to do a good job. Even if he signs Joe Allen, Scott Sinclair and Gulfi Sigardson its an improvement on last summer. Swans played most teams in the league off the park (Including us) with Championship players. We already play a passin game so it isn't like its a big change to our methods. Other than Benitez who the hell else could we have got?

What a pleb <doh> IIRC none of us wanted Capello to be our manager and we all knew Gaurdiola was never going to happen.. I think we all know he'll end up at Chelsea as money speaks volumes ... What gives you such an urge to waste your own time to come over to our board and post tripe like that?

Congrats on getting Brenda! we picked her up on the side of the road a few seasons back, apparently she was down and out, unemployed, and couldn't even get a League 1 side to take her on. You have got one hell of an impostor there, I was never happy with Brenda when she signed for us, but was glad she didn't mess with the Martinez legacy, not that she'd have known where to start, you got the wrong girl lads, should have got Martinez, but that's life, you'll soon find out where I'm coming from! Enjoy...................... <cheers>

You two should remove them extremely large chips off your shoulders!

I gave an honest opinion and never claimed for Sunderland to be a massive club, not once.

I agree Man City fans can't believe their luck but they are still now a massive club in todays game. Chelsea can't even finish top 4, yet have just beat barcelona and won the champions league (if they didn't rest players near the end of the season, I believe they would have got 4th), to say Spurs are not in the same boat as you is a bit deluded to be fair they have been finishing higher then you and have a better quality of squad, Arsenal and Man Utd goes without saying.

Now I have thought about it though mate, I think Rodgers will do a canny job but what will make or break him will be his transfers as he is still unproven with big signings, if he it comes off though you might be onto something good. Still don't you see top 4 next season but I do see you challenging top 6.

What about AVB or Capello? Capello I thought, would have down a really good job for you boys.

    the case for:

    1. can't have an ego or agenda like AVB, simply hasn't the big time charlie attitude
    2. plays a style that's what seems to be successful these days.
    3. has a history going abck to mourinho like AVB

    the case against.
    1. only one year in the prem, one play off victory in the championship... no real experience at the top level in management
    2. no idea what will happen when the real pressure comes on.
    3. can't attract top players.

All in all no matter how LFC fans dress it up its a huge gamble and one hopes that the rest of the "structure" FSG are putting in place builds something he can lean on. It'll be vital that whomever is the old guy in the board room doing the buying is someone like van gaal cos i can't see any suarez type signings coming in otherwise.

Lets wait and see form here on in.

Watford warned us that he was a ruthless mercenary type when we took him out of the wilderness after he was crap at Reading, iff he does well for you he will dump you over night for a richer/bigger club . Just passing on the warning !
If as i suspect he bombs at your club he will be back in the wilderness again and i hope the door hits him on the back on his way out !
I`m not bitter honest chaps <grr>

But seriously he came to us with all the ingredients of a good team already in place he added a few good players but thankfully didnt mess with what was already working . He is not as good as the media have hyped him up to be as his numerous dodgy substitutions and loosing to many games we were in control of or should have won have shown.
Most of us are not to bothered with him leaving as the £5m will come in very handy but the timing with Siggy signing and unsettling other players is a blow with our second prem season looming.
If he does`nt cut it for you try Martinese a much better option .

If you'd come on talking like you did in your last post on this thread I might not have chosen "chips"

You're first was deliberately inflammatory in language & tone so you got it back.

    Has there been decline? Yes

Are we currently a top club in terms of performance or cash available? Well not top 4.

With the better structure & performing manager & players with additions we can challenge for that bottom spot, maybe do a Bilbao in Europa & attract attention with good football.

Limited but consistent success Success will encourage the investment needed to gain sustainability which will in turn attract investors so we can get the stadium that will help us to compete with those currently in top 4-5 for the title.

Can we do it? Dunno I'm not a mind reader are you?

Edit: I'm also not a fortune teller lol

What a bag of utter **** that is.

(Is this allowed, as I am not technically commenting on your precious club, more on this blokes comment? Heaven forbid anyone other than Pool fans should ever dare offer an opinion on your club)
