No. Still dislike Chelsea.

However, of the three teams that are contenders for the title this year you have moved above city.

Only because I want Rafa to win. Once he goes I want you to win squat all again.

I'm inclined to agree.

Can you remind what Rafa Benitez has won please?

<doh>
Tool65, you have completely missed the point I was making.

If Harry, or any of the Spurs managers had the enormous sums of money that Benitez had and blew, they would have won at least the kinds of trophies that he won. One of the reasons why us neutrals look upon Benitez as an utter clown is because that, even having blown over £300 million on players, he only won what he ended up winning, which did not include the league title.

Sorry, but you have no argument.

Yeh. thats you shutting up.

In your dreams, Mouser.

Neutral? Neutral?

And "he only won what he ended up winning" is beyond priceless.

Made my day

Interesting, though, that you purposely left out the "...which did not include the league title..." bit from my quote.

Let little old me help you here.

Compared to my club hes won diddly squat, **** all, jack ****. However you want to put it.

Hes won as many Trophies as guys Roman sacks over breakfast. Hes won as many Premier League titles as Harry Redknapp, Mark Hughes and Paul Ince.

He won in 6 years 2/3rds of what Fergie won in one season.

I think Pep, Mourniho and Fergie have won more in a season or 2 than Rafa has won in his career.

And??

Doesn't make him a bad manager. You've just listed arguably the 3 best managers in the modern era. Plenty don't stack up to them.

Nope they dont, but they dont pretend they do like Rafa.

On a famous Liverpool comedy website known only as RAWK they consider Rafa above Pep.

To quote their genius...

Chelsea fans are saying they won't be happy until Pep takes over from Rafa in the summer. Pep is half the man(ager) that Rafa is. When he has done what Rafa did in Istanbul then we'll talk.

Dont be fooled though, RAWK is the extreme but Rafa is in many ways like these RAWKITES. Infact there are rumours he has an account on there. Andy@Allerton <ok>

Well we all know about that scouse delusion...

I love how his 2 La Liga titles are brushed under the carpet like they never happened. Football is played outside the premiership you know.

What is interesting is 'neutral' HIAG believes that Liverpool should have won the league during Rafa's reign.

What relevance do they have to English football?

None at all.

99% of RAWK are idiots, but people tell us anyone could do a job with Chelsea, so from a non-sentimental point of view why would it matter whether it's Rafael Benitez or Pep Guardiola as manager? Jose Mourinho is said that he would be nothing without money. Well what about when you inherit probably the best ever team to exist, which includes probably the best ever player to play the game? Chances are you're going to be successful one way or another. In three years Guardiola took his world beaters to two Champions League finals and was lucky enough to twice play the same bottlers in the final. In three years Benitez took a nothing team to two Champions League finals and their opponents only bottled it once.

Allerton Andy is hilarious, here's my own personal favourite from todays RAWK (& there's been plenty of beauties, but this one is something else)

He has gone, he can never return.

Goodbye Rafa, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you did. You will always have a place in our hearts, along with Shanks, Paisley, ***an and Dalglish.

I know how much you want to be back here, sorting things out, running things and finishing off what you had started. You were treated so bad, we understood this too late to help you. We are sorry, so very sorry.

But now we must fight on, we must draw strength from our forefathers and face our foes head on, without fear or trepidation. Together we march on, we crave our rightful place at the top of the pile; that place is ours, it is why we are feared and hated. So be it. We exist to be the best, to be a shining example unto others. We do not settle for anything but the best. We are kings.

So I say once more. Thank you Rafa, I wish you well. But should we meet in battle then we shall show you no mercy. It is not love or hate that makes us hungry; it is the desire to be the best. And we will, no matter what, always strive to be the best. For we are kings, and we never surrender.

Correct, however people here are not judging English football are they? They are judging the competence of a football manager.

Calling someone a clown who has won 2 La Liga Titles, the Champions League, EUFA Cup and the FA Cup at teams that I am sure many would agree where weaker than the opposition is foolish in the extreme.

Not one single Spurs manager has had the kind of money that Benitez had and blew - not a single one.

Benitez was sacked because, even with having spent something like £300 million of the bank's money, he still couldn't buy 'Pool back their glory days.

Redknapp, on the other hand, in three and a half seasons with Spurs, got us 4th, 5th, and 4th in consecutive seasons, operating on a fraction of the budget (particularly wages) that Benitez had.

Please, don't talk rubbish. Benitez wouldn't know what to do with a team unless he had the money to blow on the best players, which became increasingly evident during his last days at 'Pool, as the quality of your squad began to diminish. The quality of the players at Chelsea will hide his shortcomings as a manager, just as they did at 'Pool.

This really is a joke appointment. Every neutral fan can see that.

Couldn't agree more. If he had of signed for QPR I'd be traumatised.

I feel sorry for Chelsea.

La Liga when he won it was like Serie A is now. A bit of a mess and most of the big sides were a mess. The first title he won, he won with a points total that would of just scraped top 4. Scored 51 goals and really wasnt all that special. Not taking anything away from winning the title but it wasnt like he went out and conquered great Real and Barcelona sides. Barcelona were a joke for one thing.

Second one I dont know much about. His best days were at Valencia. He did it in the league and europe, something hes not managed since.
