I am so ****ing sick of coming on the CHELSEA board to find you here post after post article after article. Will you just **** off you cretinous little gobshite.
'arrys 2011 squad cost 176 million quid Rafa's most expensive Liverpool squad cost in the 150s and was less than 150 in the final year because of the policy to sell more than you buy for years. Why didn't Harry win the league? I don't think you're a liar, I just think you're stupid and have been brainwashed with the ant-Rafa propaganda Liverpool had no right even being in contention for the title with a squad that cheap and Rafa almost did it with 86 points. What's Harry's excuse?
I can't believe I was overlooked for Chelsea manager again. I've been in the running since Vialli went.
During their respective tenures Benitez spent £143M net, compared to Redknapps £3M net, & Benitez also had one of highest wage bills in the division. But don't let little things like facts get in the way.
Rafa TOTAL BOUGHT: £229,340,000 TOTAL SOLD: £151,000,000. TOTAL NET SPEND: £78,340,000 Redknapp NET SPEND UNDER HARRY £48,730,000 .
Sorry, but that is complete bollocks! Coco won the CL with the remnants of a good team. Towards the end of his reign at 'Pool, he spent money like it was going out of fashion, desperately trying to buy himself the glory that he was too incompetent to achieve with what he had. Or is it your case that if you give any manager enough money he can win the CL? If so, why did Mad Dog get rid of RDM? Why not give RDM a whole load of cash to throw at players? Why the need to bring in Coco?
interesting that harry's genius players, t'riffic tactics, and 176 mil squad managing 69 or 70 points and getting knocked out of Europe in the early rounds is brilliance And Rafa's 120-150 mil squad of rubbish buys getting 82 & 86 points and reaching CL finals and semis is rubbish and failure. Trophies were brought home as well. Banter is one thing. I get that. But I'm coming to the frightening realisation that you're actually serious and believe this.
Where's that from like? As this; http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premiership-transfers/tottenham-hotspur-transfers.html Lists the annual spend of Spurs & this; Lists the net spend of every PL manager http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/managers-comparisons.html
Twist it how you want, Benitez did very well at the start and then wasted a load of money meaning you dropped out of the top 4 after Benitez stupidly guarunteed you wouldn't midseason. If you want to look at spending, even though you can't really compare spending over different periods of time, look at net spends and wages. In Benitez's time in charge you averaged spending £17mill net a season, 'Arry averaged spending around £7mill a season net in his time in charge. That's even including our spending in the summer before Redknapp arrived. On the wages front, although the highest wages have gone up nearly 90% in the time from Rafa taking charge at 'Pool to 2010-11, which is the most recent full set of data for wages, Rafa still spent £88mill on average whilst 'Arry spent £73mill. The season Benitez finished 7th and 'Arry finished 4th you spent £121mill in wages compared toi Spurs' £67mill. As a I said, he did well overall but lets not pretend he's some brilliant manager or that he didn't **** things up at the end.
This list was compiled in the summer so there is a couple of changes, but anyway, if you take all the purchases Rafa made his buys come out in profit once sold. All bar his last season he outperformed what could be expected (if your looking at money) both domestically and in Europe. Lets not talk purely money though, yes you can highlight one season where Spurs finished higher than Rafa's Liverpool but that is discounting all that was imploding at the club off the field. I disagree that he wasted money, he was constantly trying to increase the standard of the squad each season (he also revamped our youth system, which we are starting to see the benefits of), he wasn't given £250mill and told to go spend it, he had to do it over time (mostly funded from his European exploits). The players he did make a mistake on where Keane (who Spurs bought back, only to treat him the same we did. Whose the real idiot there?) and Aquilani who looked like a desperate buy, but was an Italian International who due to his Injury was available who it turns out had no intention of playing in Liverpool, yes a very bad buy. Chelsea have got themselves a good manager, calling him a clown is pathetic
Harry didn't spend any money, Levy did. That's probably the main reason why he and Levy fell out, if the truth be told.
Not really, though, eh. The proof of the pudding is going to be in the eating. Let's see what Coco can do with Chelsea that he couldn't do with 'Pool. Who knows, perhaps he may become your saviour, and you and the Mousers will jointly sing his name with pride from the terraces. It might happen.
