I would have gone for Stendel, or someone with experience with SKP as assistant. We may aswell have stuck with Ross if Parkinson takes over.
Was told "short term deal." Assuming it means until the end of the season. Steve Parkin is with him as his assistant.
Donald is taking a big risk unless there's a takeover and a big change by the summer. Turning down SKP could be this decade's 'Brian Clough' if Phillips goes on to succeed elsewhere.
I usually listen to it on Acast. It's a canny pod. Hopefully the link will work. https://aca.st/7e718a
I agree with what you've said there but there's nothing to say he would have gotten us promoted this season. It's not as if we'll have much money to spend in January. Getting a center forward with pace would help any manager
Worse case scenario - Means the deal is off as I'd expect that the Americans would have no say in this appointment. Best case scenario - The deal is still on, with a stipulation in Parkinsons contract stating that he could get the bullet if the Americans take over. However this appointment means that the takeover will not be done imminently.
Everyone is exactly the same. Very underwhelming but I don't know who'd I want to give us a lift. They are all very mediocre.
