Sorry BB you can't be the new Chris because it would create too many problems. For one you'd have to keep sending posts to yourself saying you can't be a Sunderland supporter because you don't live in Sunderland!!
 
Think Larsson is a much better signing than either of the Mags 2 new midfielders purely because he is proven in the Premier League! Hope that one doesn't come back to bite me on the arse tho!

Not so sure yet like...Larson is very good and a quality signing on a free, of that there is no doubt! He can whip in a quality ball and takes awesome set pieces. Not sure he's as mobile as you'd want a winger to be though, that'd be my only criticism.

Marveaux is meant to be rapid, but so is Wayne Routledge so I'll bide my time on that'n...Cabaye on the other hand I've watched a couple of times and I think, if used properly, he could be an absolutely top class signing for us. His job this year was to anchor a very attack minded Lille team, controlling the play and allowing Gervinho and Hazard to bomb on down the line. I reckon he'll be similar to Barton when played through the middle, no no-nonsense, simple but effective passing.

Either way, so far, both clubs have done well considering how early in the window we are! Exciting times ahead for N/E football!

You've bought well mate, but whoever told you Marveaux was 'rapid', hasn't seen him play.

He'snot slow, but he certainly ain't quick either.

Fair enough, as I said, not watched him myself, and was going off a 'breakdown' of the player done by a french Liverpool fan before he was supposed to sign for them.

How dya reckon your board will handle the wage-drama? With Larson coming in will that mean someone like Steed going out or will it be a gamble for European footy and the money that comes with it?
 
sorry and I hope I am wrong - just think we a getting a bit over excited about a very slow winger and IMO a 3rd choice keeper.

News: Keiren Westwood, out of contract from Coventry City, has opted for top-flight football...

A decision that bears a lot of thought I'm sure...
 
Agree with the major investment in defence now.

We still need a CB,LB,LM,CM & another CF or 2.

I would be happy with names mentioned before such as CB - Roger Johnson or Nedum Onouha (£6/7 million), LB - Izugarre (£5 million), LM - N'zogbia (£10 million), CM - Gardner or Gibson (£5 million), CF - Danny Welbeck (Season long loan) & the big strike partner for Gyan (£10 million).

Thats £36 million still to spend, however £20 million is generated from Henderson (cheers Hendo), hopefully have some of the Bent Money say £12 million because apparently it was paid in installments and surely Stoke owe us some dosh for Kenwyne maybe £2 million.

Adding to that we may be cashing in on Gordon after the arrival of Westwood and hopefully rid of Nos, McCartney, Killgallon etc.

Plenty of happy Sunderland fans if all this came off!
