First time with Browny it was scarcely believable and was more in hope.
Second time with Brucey at the helm, we seemed to just carry on and on. Brilliant to start with then just a long slog, good then a reversal. And got there in the end.

This time, we know the team, we know what they can do and now they're really showing it. The hungers there. The new lads have settled in well now, Clucas, Maguire, Odubajo, Hayden and Akpom. This must have revitalised some of the old hands. They've got that hunger back.

Jake's got his second chance and dont we just know it!!!

I dont want to say I expect it as we'll no doubt have drops in performance, then again we have a great bench to change it up when someone drops.

Its just the strength and power in the team that really excites me. Its some of the best football I've ever seen City play. Neat little triangles everywhere. Surging runs from full backs overlapping. Midfielders scoring goals, come on Jake get your finger out, direct forwards. Clucas can even get a free kick on target!! Not had that for many a year.

Well done Steve Bruce.

True. The only cloud the horizon is the possibility of losing players. Though I can't imagine why they would want to leave. No point going to another club in'the Championship or playing second fiddle at another club when the could be back in the PL as a first choice player next season anyway.

Together with all the great play there appears to be a great team bond and spirit in the camp. When Tom scored everyone except Greegsy was in a team huddle (no pun intended) congratulating him. Long may it continue because come January it may be the difference between players staying or leaving.

I just hope Hernandez and the others come back in two weeks still fit and healthy, injuries played a huge part last season and could again if were unlucky

It's good that expectations are different now, it shows the club has progressed, as have many of the supporters.

And Bruce isn't sitting on a one nil lead now which is also a progression. Long may he continue with this more attack minded approach.

Until May.

Come August it will be bus parked again. We should sack him at the end of the season.

Ye it wouldnt be bad if Hernandez picked up one of those Man U injuries that Fergie used to engineer, where the player missed the international but played the next game for Man U.

Forget about promotion now, just take each game as I comes , I don't even look at the league table till mid march

I wouldn't have a clue we was top unless I'd read it on here

Is this squad (assuming Snod in and no outs bar the Arsenal loanees) good enough for the transition? I agree totally that it is different this time, we are a Prem club outside the Prem and not a short term visitor - can't believe I am saying that about us - but I can't predict how we would do unchanged next season....

Being greedy I still think we're lacking a natural finisher up front to keep the pressure on Hernandez and Akpom. Maybe Diomande will prove to be that player, but strikers can go 'off the boil' at any time and we need options up front like we have in midfield and defence.

People are lying to you. We must be bottom. Why else would Mr Hat want Bruce sacked?

the frightening thing about this team is that they are still yet to realise their full potential, we have Snodgrass and Diamonde progressing back to full fitness, and I honestly think at some stage in the season we will click properly and bang 7 or 8 past someone, the potential is there for all to see and in Livermore and Meyler in the middle of the park we have two Ashbee`esque players who have given us the bite. As for transition to the Premier League lets not count our chickens just yet, but the signs are good. Given the mood in the camp, I can`t help feel that unless ridiculous offers come in then we aren`t going to be losing anyone.

Which means yes? Cos I think with little outlay we have as good a squad (and not in paper value terms) as we thought we had last time out. Might be important given the ownership issues and sale value of the club. Onwards. So pleased.
