It's okay, I'll take (and accept) the apology to cover the other later comments made in your unclear state. So, the members didn't show overwhelming support. Glad that's cleared up.
I'm not against either. I simply asked for a bit of clarification as sometimes things are misleading by accident, other times there's a reason. It's hardly my fault if OLM gets defensive and rude about such things.
99% of the 25% who could be arsed to vote you mean? Did you work out any reasons for the apathy displayed by the 75% of your members who didn't vote? Was it because they didn't know there was a vote or was it that they didn't understand the questions? Was it only Dutch that didn't get an email? Communications causing you a problem are they? Seems a shame if your members don't know what's going on, doesn't it? Also, I'd love to hear an explanation of this Supporters Trust (ST) idea. So you create a ST and drop the anti name change campaign. Presumably the ST will have some aims, to create a better relationship with the club, and to represent the fans, and probably other stuff we may or may not hear about. So if the owners decide to apply for the name change again. Will the ST be the one campaigning against it, or will CTWD as it was, be reactivated and a call to arms under than banner be sent out? Or is the ST also going to be a campaign group?
A third of our members voted, our membership has barely changed since the campaign finished and remains at about 1,800. If you read the thread, you'd see that Dutch did get the email, you'd also see that 25% of members didn't even bother to open the email(they didn't just get one, they received several). You'll have to ask them why they didn't bother to vote, or even open the email, maybe they thought it was a forgone conclusion, after all, only two people voted against it. We have done no campaigning since the FA decision, other than to ask the club for clarification of what they planned to do about the club name as it wasn't appearing on anything. Unfortunately, they refused to answer this request, along with refusing to give details of the Allam's 'do you want me in charge' vote, both of which they had originally promissed to do. The supporters trust will publish all it's aims on it's website and there will be an open forum for people to comment on them. We hope that the supporters trust will have no need to be a campaign group, but if there is another name change application, we will oppose it. As it will take a couple of months before the trust is in place, I'd hope that we'd know about another name change application ahead of then anyway.
It would be nice if all the various supporters clubs, groups etc etc came together but i dont see it happening. As long as everyone supports the team on match days then what happens elsewhere happens.
