You then have the squad is too small argument and not being able to rotate players issue.

You then sign the next Murphinho to upgrade the first team who not too surprisingly wants something close to Isak’s wage and we can’t afford him.

Totally agree that these wages are obscene. Not sure how City can afford that commitment especially with the “new” PSR rules coming in tying salaries to percentage of turnover and how the other players in the team may feel. Yes he may be one of their top players but he must now be being paid way more than any of the others. I do wonder, for example, what Rodri gets paid and what he’s now thinking.
Probably “if I could score 50 a season I might be worth the big bucks”

They call you a Michael Owen.

More money, more chances, regular Champions league football, better place to live and significantly more chances to win trophies.

I know people will want to argue against all that, but sadly those are all facts.

I hate it but it's all true.

Everything else being equal, I'd much rather live in Newcastle than London.

I suppose that point is always going to lead to some potentially genuine denials, but really even with top 4 I'd leave for Arsenal. I'd want to win things and I'd be looking at the sides and thinking yeah laters! Thanks newcastle, love you lots but I have dreams and a short career.

He probably signed thinking we were the next man city and now knows psr will prevent that for longer than he's got left in the game.

If, when he does go, it's for £150m and we reinvest well, so be it.

It's inevitable I think anyway.... it's who comes in. This is the challenge that psr creates. The lesser clubs are not only forced to sell players they've found and want to keep, but they also run the gauntlet again and again having to get it right in the windows over and over more often than those that aren't forced to.

It's easier to get it wrong at some point.

More money - nah we could and will build team around him, regular champions league - yeah, he’ll get that way more here than there, better place to live? Clearly needs to visit the Northumbria riviera of Ashington, newbiggin and Blyth - way better than Croydon. More chance to win trophies - first ones in the bag.

We will see I guess, but unless we get champions league I think he'll take any opportunity that comes his way.... once that contract starts running down our lot will start thinking they have to take the money or lose him for nowt.

More money. Probably.
More chances. Possibly.
Regular Champions League football. Short term probably.
Better place to live. You've got to be joking. Have you lived in London?
Significantly more chances to win trophies. Remind me what Arsenal have won in the last 10 years. The key word being significantly.

I think the challenge is we are so far behind and given we need to get rid of at least Wilson, Trippier, Dubs, Almiron, Targett, Longstaff and you could argue over quite a few more (Kelly, Pope, Willock), then replace. That’s ****ing expensive particularly when our scouting is absolute dogshit.

Personally id be aiming to sell Bruno. Hes too slow at times and gets us into trouble far too much, Tonali is significantly better and we need something more. But it may be that £120m for Isak is too much to refuse.

This is just your opinion on London and rightly or wrongly that opinion isn't shared by the mass majority of people in the world.

Arsenal have significantly more chance of success than Newcastle due to legacy and far higher revenues....that's what I'm getting at.
