How come a team that looks so good on paper, with so many internationals, struggles so often against modest opposition? Even allowing for the hard luck stories it should never be like this, it happens too often. Get ready for the 'it won't happen again' interview. Has Mr Nice Guy lost the plot?

There's still a long way to go, promotion is still up for grabs but changes need to be made in January and maybe not just to the playing staff.

He lost the plot a long, long time ago.

Sadly, a friendly facade in the media and an fa cup final pulled the wool over most people's eyes.

Never rated Bruce as a manager, never wanted him here, and now I've spent 3 and s half years suffering the dross he serves, I rate him even less.

I honestly think he'll drop like Phil Brown did when he finally gets kicked out of our once great club.

Usual question to those who would like to see SB resign (Allam won't sack him) - who replaces him? Don't think either Jose or LVG are realistic possibilities

Did that result and performance actually come as a surprise to anyone?
If the answer is no, then question yourself as to why Bruce should stay.
Get someone in with fresh ideas.
Surely the money on offer next season will force the Egyptians bony old hands soon.....

I've always been a supporter of Steve Bruce and in gratitude for what he's done for the club I'll stick with him for now. I was always of the opinion he considered this season as one where he could regain his pride, something he's struggling to achieve. I appreciate being sentimental doesn't help you win a football match.

In my view, regardless of where the team finishes in the league, at the end of the season he should step aside and let someone else have a go. I'm guessing Phelan was brought in as the chosen one and I'd welcome that move should it happen.

Allam loves Bruce, he will stay until the bitter end of the season

Allam also loves money, he wants the club sold and knows he won't be able to do it unless we're in the Premier League. We'll also get a big load of cash for going up, I think this will make the difference. Allam doesn't have time for sentimentality, he's pretty ruthless as a businessman and I can see him pushing SB out the door if we don't improve.

Hope so mate

Call me sceptical..... My fear is allams still have plenty of money, hundreds of millions in fact.
What would they enjoy more...... Getting more cash for the pile, or keeping Bruce in his job regardless just to piss us off even more..... Like closing the family lounge to give the away fans a choice of bars upstairs or downstairs at the kc

Yes, he will, don't kid yourself into thinking they're best mates, Bruce is his employee.

We could get loads of people. Thierry Laurey, manager of Gazelec Ajaccio, managed them to Ligue 1 for the first time in their history via two back to back promotions. did it on very little money. There you go, there's one of many.

As I've already posted if we don't pick up over xmas, and we slip off the pace then I can see AA acting as he watches the PL millions slip away, no matter what he thinks of SB "money talks, bullshit walks"
