Now:

Options:

1. Voting system change to vote for trial then have a trial with guilty v innocent vote. Gives someone a chance to claim a role or give false info etc

2. Death notes: roles who kill can publish a death note on the corpse. taunts, clues fake clues or could be a town guy making himself confirmed... who knows

3. Last wills. Everyone can write out a will and have it published if they die. this could be key info they learned and is not lost. However some mafia roles can eliminate or change this

4. Role confusion. Roles may be assigned to each person and thats hard to hide in but if you were told there are investigators, killers, healers/bodygaurds, other assorted roles.... but not how they are mixed up then add in a a couple unknowns there is enough places for a mafia to claim a role and hide in it if he is under pressure

5. Non aligned players. Some could be killers, others evil and others just along for the ride. all having their own win conditions

6. Jailors: hard to organise in a forum. Very tough but can be most powerful town player who can stop someone acting at night by locking them up either to protect or cage them and if he thinks you are bad he can execute you.

7. amount of killing. nightly? limited to only 2 or 3? who knows..

1. In theory like it. But if someone is offline during that time then can't defend themselves like tennis says.

2. I like it, Mafia kills prob won't make much difference but it could help ant kill the town vigilante makes for example.

3. Again gold just need to work out when it's written. Needs to be before any Acton is taken that night so it's ready to publish as they die.

4. The main problem at the end is not having anywhere to hide as Mafia. Not knowing how many of each role could be good but need to try get it balanced so town aren't on wild goose chase.

5. Maybe 1, but don't think should have numerous people on their own team or becomes too tricky to form links against the Mafia.

6. I liked the jailor. Maybe needs to be a set of questions they can ask and person has to answer them, if they don't answer get punished somehow.

7. Depends on players and when want to finish. When ever I did it I tried to run scenarios on what's likely to happen each night and how many kills you need to end up with 3/4/5 players on the final night. Mafia killing every other night is always a good option though. Every night makes them bit too powerful I think.

1. I can run two games, one with voting and one without if theres enough people to run two games

2 and 3. Only as good as what people do with them but pretty easy to run. PM the details to me I would probably run this as a 9pm release of last will as perosn needs to write it before they die not after and same for death notes cos the dropper of the note needs to assume they did it. as you say if a town can drop a death note they can make themselves a confirmed town.

4. In the end to hide is the same if theres two people shouting random town who do you believe. I nthis case there will be ways to go: A) not telling the first way cos is a secret. B) some roles relate so you can hide in them if theres a doubt. Some roles would be avoided as you can disprove the claim easily though. c) say nothing and work the numbers. D) claim a totally unrelated role that might not even be in game (there will be more roles described than in game deliberately) the risk is naming a role someone has here and getting called

The end game is determined at the first 2/3 days. If mafia get through intact they can play numbers. If they don't they need to work the options

5. I am thinking of a joker player. One who can throw his lot in with anyone he feels like, one who is a killer (cos we need to think the ranks) and one who is evil and out to deliver thier own objective. These are further roles that can be used to hide in for mafia AND just could end up being the deciding voter in a lynch potentially.

6. Jailor is indeed very difficult to work in terms of a game where time zones and stuff comes into play. In the end if a town gets locked up by jailor he should be spilling his guts. a bad guy needs to look town and not get executed. the act of lcoking up will have consequences.

I'll play but I dint know how to
You'll be fine, just play it safe... It's basically just a 3-step process for a new player.

1) Make sure you know how to write in bold.

2) Make the odd comment during day one, but just try and keep your nose clean by not making yourself look guilty.

most importantly...
3) Log on at 20:59 and write "I vote Valley"
