With Isolation?
Because i know i am. I split up from my partner in January, and i was in the middle of a house move back to my home town (where my boys live), before all this happened. Im now sat in a half empty house. My ex moved out in Jan, and because I bought the house and everything is in my name, i stayed on to sell it.
My only purpose in life and my only reason for being here now are my 7year old twin boys. They are my world. I usually have 50/50 access with my ex wife, but that has now been cut to 1 day a week because of everything thats going on.
I really feel like ive hit rock bottom here, so i thought id make this thread to let any likeminded lads or lasses share their pain, and hopefully we can have eachothers back abit x.

Really try to find some things to do mate. Those jobs that we put off forever and any pastimes that you've enjoyed in the past.

Try and build a routine for yourself and focus on positive things,
Easy to say i know but do a walk once or twice a day, maybe do something like build an airfix model each for the kids etc, and look forward to talking to them,
Hopefully its all back to normal sooner rather than later.

If you can find consolation in the fact that you wont be the only one in this position, that may help. Hope you can find something to change your mindset and try to keep as positive as you can for yourself and your boys. Best wishes mate.

FWIW mate, if I have to suffer another two weeks of this I might ****ing join you.
By the way the last paragraph starts off with a load on nonsense, of course your kids are your world, but they aren't your only purpose in life. You've just said you've hit rock bottom, so by your own admission the only way is up. Look forward to the next time you can take them out and play footy. These are hard times and its easy for me, sitting here with my lot around me, but believe me, that puts a strain on it as well and my lads are grown up. Sometimes I want some solitary isolation

Thanks mate. I do which is the reason i wrote this thread, to share our pain together and get our feelings out in the open.

When you used to the kids around you it’s very difficult
I now FaceTime is not the same we use it
The lads will love your smiley face chin up it will not be long for this to end
If everyone did as instructed

Tees, bad yesterdays doesn't mean that all the tomorrows are destined to be bad. You've come through before, tell yourself that again you can not and will not be beaten. Your lads want you to be in top form.. And like it or believe it or not, we want you in top form on here. It's by no means easy , but we're with you.

I'm not one to give advice mate, I'm in no position tbh, but I can relate to what you're saying.

I've always been a bit wild and lived life on the edge so have sometimes taken a fall, always my own fault.

It sometimes seems there's no way out and it takes a while to recover ...

... but the human spirit is a wonderful thing and people bounce back.

You will and, whatever the situation now, there'll come a time when your boys will be able to make their own choices.

Sometimes it's the most unexpected things that help and you suddenly wonder why it felt so bad.

Believe me mate, I've been in holes so deep I've needed the Mines Rescue Service to get me out ;)

Keep telling yourself this will come to an end and things will get back to some kind of normal, your house will sell and you will get a house near the lads and get the access you had before. You can't allow yourself to dwell on the problems you are going through at the moment cos your lads need their dad to be strong like they have always known you to be.
