Yep - another example of the Beeb hitting on a winning format and flogging it to death. Still, I do watch it whenver i get the chance purely to try and get a 0 answer - I'm sure most people who watch it do exactly the same.

The Chase is another one - good concept but on too much

People watch pointless to try and get a pointless answer, my, how people can be strange sometimes!

The "G" stands for Gladstone, as he is a direct relative of Gladstone the ex Prime Minister, so I was told many moons ago. Could be ****e though.

He was also the producer of some 70s comedy called My Neighbour's A Darkie or something. Might have been Love Thy Neighbour actually. ER would probably know.

<laugh> Did you see that Channel 4 programme about TV in the 70s the other week. "Blacked up Jock" FFS!

I saw it,"It Was Ok in the '70's"think it was called.Anyone who didn't see it catch it on 4OD,highly recommended.Groping, leering you name it was fair game no wonder Saville et al got away with so much. The Blacked Up Jock with the hat was funny and he was wrong on so many fronts and if that wasn't bad enough he was groping a bird on the Tube<laugh>

I have vague memories of some of the stuff but, in general, couldn't believe what i was watching. Little wonder that so many over 40s are so bigoted<laugh>

'Love Thy Neighbour' was mild compared to some of the stuff, the 2 singing a song about Chinese and doing the squinty eye thing<laugh>fs

And the dialogue in sitcoms! Fawlty Towers "funny thing was, all morning she kept referring to the Indians as n*****s - no no no I said - n****s are the west Indians. These people are w@gs" I don't think that would be broadcast now...
