Did you see that Channel 4 programme about TV in the 70s the other week. "Blacked up Jock" FFS!

I saw it,"It Was Ok in the '70's"think it was called.Anyone who didn't see it catch it on 4OD,highly recommended.Groping,leering you name it was fair game no wonder Saville et al got away with so much.The Blacked Up Jock with the hat was funny and he was wrong on so many fronts and if that wasn't bad enough he was groping a bird on the Tube

 

I have vague memories of some of the stuff but, in general, couldn't believe what i was watching. Little wonder that so many over 40s are so bigoted

 

'Love Thy Neighbour' was mild compared to some of the stuff,the 2 singing a song about Chinese and doing the squinty eye thingfs

 

And the dialogue in sitcoms! Fawlty Towers "funny thing was, all morning she kept referring to the Indians as n*****s - no no no I said - n****s are the west Indians. These people are w@gs" I don't think that would be broadcast now...

Can't help you there,why not ask one of the natives?I always bring my phone to a Chinese bloke,they are **** hot at fixing,unlocking etc and at half the price of bringing it to the original shop.
