Jimmy Savile scored 160+
I've just done an IQ test for the craic (first one that came up on Google). Apparently I've an IQ of 143 which puts me in the "superior intelligence" category and one stroke off being a Genius.
Are these tests reliable?

Lewis Terman (1916) developed the original notion of IQ and proposed this scale for classifying IQ scores:
- Over 140 - Genius or near genius.
- 120 - 140 - Very superior intelligence.
- 110 - 119 - Superior intelligence.
- 90 - 109 - Normal or average intelligence.
- 80 - 89 - Dullness.
- 70 - 79 - Borderline deficiency

Absolutely right. It's all about the ads in the hope you will hit on there by mistake! Perhaps also a measure of IQ?Yeah i know
There are lots of these bogus IQ Test sites dotted around the internet that are designed to fool you into clicking on the ads. The only true indication of your IQ score is to be Mensa tested.

On the subject of IQ - I got around to watching 'The Imitation Game' last weekend - based loosely on the work of Alan Turing - cracking the Enigma code at Bletchley Park during WWII.
Now that fellow was a true genius - portrayed in the film as a bit of a loner, but one step ahead when it came to working out cyphers and strategies.
According to the results so far, we all pretty much fall within the 2 per cent of geniuses in the World.
In fairness I did say at a party, at which I can assure you that in this present moment in time I'm not. I'm at work and it's pretty quiet tonight so inane threads like this one are slightly better than discussing a 33 year old out of contract Bury striker being possibly linked to QPR because of a rather tenuous link created by a wannabe 17 yr old journalist in his bedroom. Anyway, you could start a thread on Catalytic Converters on this board and you'd be guaranteed 30+ replies.![]()
Not as good as "What we do in the Shadows" though, a documentary about vampires living in Wellington, New Zealand.
Going throught that rigmarole would imply that the score really mattered to you. Which means that you may be very bright in a certain way, but also have some kind of personality disorder.
The scores tell you how good you are at taking the tests. You can train yourself to be very good at this, but why would you bother?
