Match Preview;
Well, this is shaping up to be a pretty disappointing Christmas football wise. Our Boxing Day defeat to Millwall was our third loss in a row, coming after a draw, so our last win was on December 9th, 2-0 at home to Hull. Reading through the matchday thread from yesterday (Millwall game), many shared my frustration, having been at our game against Southampton; get the ball forward quicker, give Dykes some support and stop playing the ball back to the keeper at every opportunity! These are problems Cifuentes must be able to see, and needs to sort out asap. Willock, Paal and Dykes are our top scorers with 3 a piece.
They particularly need sorting given our next opposition are high flying Ipswich Town. They've drawn 2, won 2 and lost 1 of their last five. They drew 1-1 with league leaders Leicester yesterday, having scored* a 93rd minute equaliser. *it was actually an own goal. They sit second in the table, 6 points behind Leicester and 5 points ahead of Southampton. Their top scorers are Chaplin and Broad head with 8 each.
I'll be with my father-in-law on Friday evening and he's a tractor boy twice a year, when we play them, so really hoping it isn't a thrashing at least.
Team news and manager comments to go up asap, enjoy if you are making it, and as always...
...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
